Trey Hendrickson Update
(Yesterday, 09:12 PM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: I can't see Jerry Jones' ego (or love of making money) ever letting him tank a season. He'd be much more likely to make a 49ers-Trey Lance type trade because he'd see it as buying success which is what he wants to do as a businessman.

Since 1968 (Bengals first year) the Cowboys have had a top-5 pick only 7 times... and they only earned it 3 times. The other 4 of those 7 they traded up from out of the top-5 to get it.

Its a far out idea/prediction but if Jerry thinks he can get the next big thing in sports (in Archie) then a tanking job might  be enticing to him.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

However; I don't believe he will enter the draft in 2026. He has not been a full season starter and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Mannings tend to use their entire eligibility.

I think he will declare in 2027 at the earliest.

True enough, but that was also 25+ years ago when everyone stayed longer  Things were different then.  We'll see.

If he stays 3 more years, Texas fans are in for a treat.

Dallas doesn't have to give Parsons a new contract after his 3rd year or 4th year or 5th year.  Its tiring hearing these multi-millionaires athletes complaining about their team not giving them a new contract and another big signing bonus when they still haven't fulfilled their current contract.  If Parsons doesnt get a new contract this year, he will get one next year from somebody so why cry to the media about it and pout about not wanting to play?  Man up, play out your contract and get another one next year.  If he has a great season, he will get paid even more next year anyways.

Arguing, no one. Go read page 95. Some hypothetical talks in there.

If this was the NBA, sure. It’s not. It’s the NFL, and this is the reality.

Broncos just extended Zach Allen 4 years, $102 million, $69.5 guaranteed. He’s 27, led the league in pressures with 8.5 sacks.

Cut a year off that deal, take 25% off salary and guarantee and sign Trey

I believe Manning will stay in school for a while yet. He needs to see the college field more before he makes the jump to the Pros, and with the NIL money he gets, it makes that decision easier. I haven't looked up the numbers, but I assume he's making millions at UT

Parsons said he was willing to leave money on the table to stay in Dallas before they pissed him off......

Imagine, if you will, a world where the Bengals sign their DE Trey Hendrickson, and Michah Parsons decides to chase a ring and signs a 4-year deal with the Bengals. Ladies and Gentlemen, you have now entered the Twilight Zone.

I think the Arch declaring/not declaring narrative will be played to its fullest by sports media. It will be interesting to see who tanks their season at the right time.

Sled; I don't think NIL matters to this family. I do agree that he/they would want at least a couple of years of full starting experience. Eli and Peyton had 16 year NFL careers after four years of college.

BTW Stewy; are you calling me old? What the heck is wrong with you - you football headed nincompoop (oldest term I could think of)?

Ha ha, love it. Arch don't want to be on dem stains lol
