What was that PA? Three straight pitches he swung at, two of which were nowhere near the zone in different directions.

Is Elly broken right now? .241/.315/.349/.665 since the AS break and a K% back around 30% after it had been improved (still high, but notably improved) in the first half of the season. 5 for 33 with a single XBH (double), 1 RBI, 1 BB, and 13 K in August.

Jesus Hays how do you look at one right down the middle?

Nice, stringing together some XBHs, scoring some runs, regaining and then building back up a decent lead.

CANNOT afford to lose 3 out of 4 to the Pirates. 2 out of 4 is already tough enough.

And then you got Mey walking everyone with 2 outs.

Wasn't 12 in a row but still.

Control is what has kept Mey in the minors. That's 15 walks in 18 innings up here.

There was the last 3 in a row to the first walk, 3 in a row, a strike, and ball 4 to the second walk and 4 straight to the 3rd walk.

So 11 out of 12 pitches were balls?
