The offense seems like it’s ready to pick up where they left off. The defense seems optimistic as well. Im skeptical of the defense but the offense seems to be looking forward to carrying the team. Its been a full offseason for the offense (havent had that in any previous years). I think it’ll be a fun year. ![]()

But the offense needs to close out games too. The chargers game they had plenty of opportunities to close out the game on offense. If they can run out the clock with the lead and play a good 4 minute drill they can win more. Brady and a lot of other elite teams made a living doing it. Thats something that needs to be stressed more by the coaches. But more importantly, they need to learn how and make a habit of winning this way. ![]()

Pretty good company. The other 26 seasons of 40+ TD seasons resulted in playoffs. So 90% of the time, you make the playoffs. Some of those teams also had bad defenses, like Brees and manning. ![]()

But the offense can be better still. He’s definitely got a 50+ TD season in him with his weapons. And the offense can be better with a lead. ![]()

That's not good company at all unless you don't care about team success and only care about putting up gaudy stats. 1. You missed the playoffs. 2. Marino is most well known for being the greatest QB to never win a SB. 3. Drew Brees only won the 1 and then over the next 11 years never won more than 1 playoff game in a season going 5-7, for a total of 9-9 in 20 years. ____________________________________________________________

Those are two HOF QBs, best of the best. It is good company to be in. And Brees winning a SB, in NO is great. It would have been nice to win more (obviously), but that is a tall task and requires a bit of luck (injury front for the team). I get what you are saying, but it’s still good company. ![]()

Its very common these days to use strawmen arguments and ad hominem attacks to deflect from the actual logical argument at hand. Im not offended by it. Im just calling it out for what it is. It serves no useful purpose because it deflects from the argument at hand and gets us further from reaching a logical consensus. It doesnt matter if the name you are calling someone is offensive or not. It still serves the same purpose of deflection. It gets the spotlight on the person himself rather than the argument at hand. I see myself more as a realist. Im both pessimistic and optimistic. It depends on the situation. But again, its pointless to describe the people and its best to stick to the arguments. Things tend to get personal and spiral out of control when you start name calling. It crosses a line that can seem minor but opens the door for unpleasantness. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I don't know about 2010 vibes as of now, because that was a surprise of a season. If anything I see this team as one of those looney toon body builder characters where the upper body is buffed like Conan the Barbarian, and the lower body are skinny chicken legs. So if they do somehow miss the playoffs or are one and done because of the defense, it shouldn't be all that surprising the season ends like that, unlike the surprise of 2010's implosion.
