I wouldn’t put Burrow in the bad category. He threw a couple TD’s - one of which was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen him throw.

He ran around and took a coverage sack trying to play hero ball but other than that he looked good to me.

Offense good

ST good: great kick by Mac for 54

Defense has a long ways to go, even if Trey is signed. Definite red flag going with less than 3 weeks to go

McPherson nailing his 50+ yarders is another encouraging sign. ST in general looked pretty good last night.

This starting defense is bad enough that it could keep us from becoming a playoff team. Watching the on guy on our defense we thought we could count on, Logan Wilson, take horrible angles and get lost in the wash play after play....is really concerning.

The good - Thought Fairchild looked good again which is exciting.

The Bad - I get its the preseason and it’s vanilla but thats not an excuse for defensive lineman getting manhandled, awful tackling and gap integrity issues.

We're in serious trouble on D this season, to say the least.

I thought Tahj Brooks was bad. Underwhelming at the very least.

Yes this guy can't be our starter, just can't.

Agreed. If they don't shore up that run defense and struggle to force punts &/or turnovers when needed, then no chance at a Super Bowl run as making the playoffs will be in doubt.

Oof.

He did come out with an injury, so perhaps that was the play he got hurt on, but that's still an ugly look.

Regardless of whether it's his injury or something else, I think we all hope Risner comes to terms today.

Jalen Rivers had a great game in pass protection. He's inconsistent as a run blocker once ended up on his face trying to reach block the 0Tech. Demetrius Knight with another meh game. DL still can't get off blocks. Deebo Samuel and Jayden Daniels took turn embarrassing Joseph Ossai.

The small dump off pass Joe missed Brooks on was a block release. Brooks stonewalled the LB before getting into his route was awesome.

Another Down the coaches... Joe Burrow in the game with 2 rookie guards. Chase Brown getting a 1 yard TD carry on 4th down. There's getting guys into the game and there's time when it's like hey it's pre-season let's protect our guys some.

I mean that’s cool and all, but he played a lot last night and did very little on any of his runs. I was expecting more power, harder to tackle, etc.

I'd say Burrow playing way too much, trying to make way too much happen for a preseason game is one of the fuglys.

For the love of God, will someone save this man from himself? Grow some balls before you torpedo the season, ZT.
