Only has 2 sacks this year. Never really had that double digit year. PFF grade is 56.

25 years old.

I think he's on a 1 year deal.

Would it be crazy to trade for him? Is he just a bust?

I'd pass on him. I would love to see them trade for someone who is going to be a difference maker.

I dont see them doing anything though and if by chance they do it will be someone who isnt going to cost them much and the return will most likely be the same.

I mean those are the kind of guys who will move this week. Baron Browning, Zadarius Smith, Chase Young, etc. It’s really hard to get big time difference makers at pass rusher mid season unless there is a contract situation that the current team doesn’t think they will be able to resolve like Sweat last year. Some people looking to get out of bad contracts could move, Cam Jordan is a better player that could be had but do you want to pay a 35 year old pass rusher 15 million next year?

If the Jets had lost Reddick was a prime target. Crosby is a pipe dream as the Raiders are going to keep their one star as they look to try and have something offer the next regime. I’m not sure, what else is out there that would be a difference maker but it’s a tough position to need help at for sure.

Maybe Ogbah or Campbell from Miami could make sense. Most the other 2 win or so teams don’t have guys that make sense contractually. Maybe a guy like Harold Landry in TEN but TEN would have to eat some of that salary.

The FO needed this win to determine whether they were going to pursue someone or not.
They need to bolster their defense with a pass rusher and/or DB to help against these playoff teams with stronger offenses than the likes of LV and CLE.
Bengals are 1.0 game out of the WC and have a critical stretch of 3 games against 3 teams in the playoff picture right now - BAL, LAC, PIT.
They need to go 3-0 or 2-1 in that stretch to keep their chances alive, so improving their defense and getting Higgins back healthy would improve those chances.
It would also help to try to get a LT to replace Ford. Not sure if there are guys worth trading for, but there are some names still available in FA that might be interested to join a playoff push for half a season. Whoever joined would have to be ok as a swing tackle once OBJ is back though.

The pessimist in me says we only beat bad teams and our schedule gets harder with Tenn abd Clev being the only bad teams left.

I would call up the Raiders and offer them our 1st next year for Crosby and make them tell me no. Are the Bengals going to be able to draft anyone as good as Crosby next year with their 1st round pick? See what the Raider have to say. If you couldnt get Crosby, Za'Darius Smith might be a good option depending on what he would cost. He is older at 32 but probably the best pass rusher available outside of Crosby. Just say no to Chase Young. The guy is over-rated and overpaid.

Fun fact. Geno Atkins is 2-years younger than Campbell

Did Geno's shoulder heal?  We could use an interior defensive lineman that can get pressure on a QB.

Im not serious but it would be nice to have an interior defensive lineman like Geno in his prime.  That would help this defense a lot.

he got a super bowl ring out of it too. oh wait. what was your point again?

all of your reply is bullshit. just complete bullshit. it's the FO period point blank. and we're wasting our QB like we always do. "you play to win the game!" bengals haven't done that since 1990.

Yep that's what I see as the floor for the record: 6-11.

The Bengals HAVE to get some wins against the likes of PIT, BAL, LAC, and DEN to push for the playoffs though.

Going 1-2 over the next 3 games would mean they'd very, very likely have to win out the remainder of their games, as they'd be at 7 losses by that point.
Going 0-3 would pretty much mean the playoffs are out of reaching barring some really, really lucky tiebreakers.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

That particular instance wasn't on Mike, and he attempted to rectify it. Katie and Troy were the ones that effed all of that up.

The pessimist in you has looked at the standings.

2-7 is the worst record in the NFL right now and all 4 of our wins have come against 2-7 teams.

yep They put themselves in too much of a hole with their garbage defensive performances. I really cant see how they make the playoffs unless the afc ends up being so awful that 8-9 can grab a 7th seed.

Well good news is we only have to wait till Thursday to find out if this team can make any noise.

Beat the Ravens and your 5-5 need 4 more wins most likely.

You got the Steelers, Browns and Broncos left at home if you win those 3 you got to find 1 more.

It was still the right decision given his age and the odds. IN all the years Whit was here, did we even sniff a Super Bowl? Thanks for playing.

Zac isn't really telling us much with this quote. Going through a process could be ordering new pens for the office.

I'd be happy though if Duke acquires talent that can immediately play significant snaps.

Hard pass on Chase Young. I'd just rather continue giving Myles Murphy reps at edge, it's basically the same thing.

They desperatley need a running back if Zach Moss is going to miss an extended period of time. Like desperately. Trayveon Williams is not an NFL caliner RB. I'd also look at bringing in a vet corner so CTB can move to CB2 where he belongs.
