Excuse me sir. I don't consider anyone in my class when it comes to insulting.

No not joking. There is more guaranteed money than the signing bonus. Im not excusing the agent as he has also made this situation personal. But the Bengals have more of a history making the contract side of things aggravating for the agent which can leak to the player than just this Stewart situation.

Thought we were close. Guess not.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

from what im reading about Hiller, being young in the game and not having great success with other teams, it sure looks like he is the issue especially after MB gave us a bit more public statement than before on the limits that he wants in the contract with losing $$

Yeah, guess not. Trey apparently is in Florida, not even near training camp.

Darn. Thought they were close, also.

"This is an issue revolving around guaranteed money," ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted. "The Bengals have been willing to offer only one year of it while other top pass rushers - Maxx Crosby, Myles Garrett, TJ Watt - have gotten three."

Mickey Mouse organization.

I decided to look up Hiller because I knew nothing about him.
Apparently he started his agency LAA back in 2017, where Dalvin Cook became his first client.
He's 33 years old now, having ~8 years of experience as an agent.

Reading this article gives a good view into Hiller's mindset and approach - he doesn't take no for an answer.

From what I can tell reading things like the above, Hiller being closer to age with his actual clients (20's and 30's) and having the personality he has, he's able to connect with them in a way perhaps other agencies aren't, and that's why they choose to go with him over a more established agency.
For Hiller, it's all about trust and loyalty.

I believe what's going on here is Hiller is the kind of person who will try to exhaust every option fighting for his client, and he may rub some teams (especially those more traditional ones like Mike Brown) the wrong way in how he talks and how transparent he is to the public.

I can see that if I were a talent looking to hire an agent, someone like Hiller might actually be more in line with what I would be looking for.
Unfortunately, I don't believe or know if Hiller has ever tried to negotiate with Mike Brown and the Bengals before, but they are pretty hardline and difficult to negotiate with if you are trying to push them to get your way.
This might ultimately be a situation where Stewart/Hiller needs to concede some or risk not getting signed.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
