Chase not Practicing

Chase will either sign a contract.Or he will get franchised tagged every year, from now on.He isn't going anywhere.

Yes but players have shown us that they care about the security of the long term deal and it will affect they're head space if they don't get that and are asked to go one year at a time.

Ja'Marr Chase back to practice.

I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

They won't franchise tag him. I think the Bengals have two things going against them in this scenario. A. Him and Burrow are tight and if it was me, I'm not going to risk pissing off both of my stars. B. His talent is something you want to lock in. Chase could easily sit out any time you decide to screw with his security. No team in the NFL, especially one that needs a star WR with that amount of talent and speed, would bat an eye at giving him what he wants. So I wouldn't put it past him (good business) to hold out and demand a trade until he gets the kind of security deal that makes him comfortable.

The Bengals Org does not have a good reputation for taking care of players, AKA Mike Brown. Granted, Mike treats players like family and supports them, but he never has and never will want to pay them. They had to pay Burrow, or Cincinnati fans would have burned the stadium down. But, with the Blackburns more involved in the day-to-day, I think a deal will get done.

Was watching NFL.network and they reported it.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Look who reported it, NFL network reporters while Schefter is silent.

He has no sources in the building and it boils his piss hence the constant cheap shots.

I’d bet that was Zac’s and Chases infamous plan LOL

I disagree on MB paying players. In fact he always pays his star players, just not always the secondary pieces. He’s paid Palmer, Chad, Green, Dalton, Mixon, Hendrickson, Brown, Reader, Burrow. He’s going to pay chase. I have zero doubt he’ll get an extension. I just don’t know when.

I also don’t think chase sits out. I think he and Taylorboth knew he would sit out TC to neutralize risk of injury and he’ll be suited up game 1 and playing the first snap of the game.

Wonderful. Should be able to get back on tract with two weeks to go until the first game. And helps to create a more harmonious atmosphere.

Chase was never going to forfeit a game check. Glad to see him back, hope he has a career year and gets the contract he deserves NEXT off-season.

Maybe they're going to announce a contract extension the same time as Burrows contract extension (during KCs season opener)
