Chase is a decoy and the ball goes to Higgins. If Chase is not double teamed, he will get the ball.
His job is to pull defenders away from everyone else, unless he is single covered.
Unfortunately, we need both Chase and Higgins in this current offense. One compliments the other.
Without Chase, Higgins would be double covered.

Iosivas, in his current form, is a WR3/WR4 at best.
Iosivas has 189-3 through 6 games, Higgins has 259-2 through just 4.
Iosivas wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire the first couple games while Higgins was out either, so it's not due to lack of targets.
In fact, Iosivas has performed better production-wise since Higgins came back, so he's benefitting from the extra coverage focus on Higgins and Chase.
I personally think there should be quite a few dudes hitting FA that could be solid outside WR2's who won't command $10+ mill if the Bengals choose to not drop yet another early draft pick on a WR.
One guy I would be game for adding is someone we saw last night - Darius Slayton
Currently making $6 mill APY and has put up 700+ yards 4 of his 5 previous seasons and at 301 yards through 6 games this season.
He'll also be turning 28 in the offseason, so a 2-year deal for like $7-8 mill APY could be perfect.
I was one of them saying we should have traded Tee to the Giants for Slayton and a pick earlier this off season. He would be a great addition on a 2 year deal. Cut Jones /Irwin and draft another stud WR early. I'm not sure Burton is gonna pan out.

That's true about Higgins. Hopefully Burton can become another threat, but its looking less and less likely every week. He's probably the biggest disappointment from this draft due to my expectations/hopes.

It depends.
Is all Burton can really do is go routes right now?
If so, he may be pretty predictable.
They might view Iosivas as the more versatile option, right now anyway.
People need to remember that Iosivas is also just as fast as Burton but taller and bigger while also being able to play both inside and outside.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Make some tough roster calls if needed to make it happen. The Offense (even when struggling as it was last night, is night and day better with him). He may not be worth 25m, but he is to this team.
Tag him to at least trade him (back to that dream scenario), which I can see his value building back up if his season continues. We can't get nothing from losing him. But Tee means more to this Offense then the "he's a WR2" debate may indicate.
Why not trade him. Instead of tag him?? Are u saying Burrow must have 2 top tier WR to succeed

I would assume this is in regard to the upcoming offseason, not before this coming trade deadline.
Everything would come down to what they would get in trade offers.
Something tells me if it's not a 1st round or 2nd round pick, they won't trade him.
They'll just let him leave in FA and get a comp pick back for him.
Heck, they might not take anything less than a 1st rounder.
As much as I'd like to see them invest their early draft picks into DL, OL, and DB, I acknowledge that they have not been good hitting on OL and DL in the draft, so maybe they should continue their previous path of getting OL/DL in FA and drafting WRs with early picks.

Could be more Zac than Burrow, but your unsurprising dig at Burrow is noted. Again.

True. In a perfect world they bring in some help in the FO to specifically address that. But we know that’s not happening.
Hopefully they’ve finally hit on one with Mims at least.

Iosivas has an average depth of target of 11.2 yds. So the Bengals clearly aren't using him as a WR3. Instead they bring Chase or Gesicki in to play the slot. Iosivas is still catching over 60% of the passes sent his way, despite rarely being the primary target. Moving your top 2 receivers around isn't gonna fool anyone if they continue to get all the WR targets.

Yes sir, for it now and I wasn't in the Offseason. Tee has played very good this season, way better than last IMO.

Mims looks pretty damn good. Kris Jenkins too on the other side of the ball.

Nice. Tee like I said has made me a believer. Playing clutch and the hammy hasn't been creeping up lately knock on wood.

Jesus christ, nate. Im so glad they finally hit. That doesnt erase all the other terrible trench picks they made within the last 5 seasons. It's like 50 first dates with you

I think it is odd they put the Jets in there with Davante Adams. It was his first game with the Jets last night.

FO responds, "Your overreacting it wont make much a difference, I mean did you see one when we let Bates go?"
