Sitting on our hands as usual
(5 hours ago)Housh Wrote: May have given up on the season by not getting defensive help

Gotta keep those precious 5th and 6th rounders.
I mean heck, Chase Brown and Andrei Iosivas are basically starters now!

(Please ignore Newton, McLachlan, Johnson, Anderson, Hill, Evans, Kareem, Adeniji...etc etc)
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Zack Moss is a career 4.2 YPC with 3.3 in Cincy this year.
Let's not act like Moss is head and shoulders a better rusher.
Pass catcher/blocker maybe, but Trayveon Williams has done solid in his limited attempts.

Please don’t try make a case for Williams to be on this roster it’s offensive to people who watch the games.

He shouldn’t be anywhere near the NFL.

Care to explain why?

And you can't say, "Watch the games."
I've watched them and I don't see anything specific Williams is terrible at.

Didn't he butt fumble?

And the 55 yarder he busted out against the Ravens - Bengals down 31-3 - & he gets up flexing and celebrating.

That's enough for me. He's out.

Lattimore makes Trae Waynes look like Bret Favre and 0 chance the Browns trade Smith inside the Division.

I get it, folks like to dream big, but if you had told me yesterday that we made a move to improve the weakest group on the roster I wouldn't be complaining.

This team basically HAS TO outscore teams.

They won’t stop anyone

I mean, outscoring teams is the only way to win right? lol

Bengals going all Phoenix Suns on us is fine by me. They have the talent on the offensive side of the ball and young defensive guys that have to mature in real time. Maybe that can happen in the next few, very critical weeks.

I know fans are upset, but the Bengals made an in season trade for Herbert, something that has occurred twice. They traded Dunlap in 2020 and disgruntled Palmer in 2011.

Maybe by the time Burrow is 36 and his career is almost over we can baby step our way up to adding a quality starter.

Preston Smith would have been nice working with Hendrickson (or making sure that we don't have 0 pass rush when Hendrickson comes off the field)... instead he's going to play against Joe Burrow twice while playing with Twatt.

I think the fact a playoff team traded him for a future 7th round pick swap tells you the quality of what he brings. That’s as close as you can possibly get to cutting someone without cutting them.

Can’t pass block for shit, isn’t a great pass catcher.

Average below average KR

He’s been a career cut candidate look at how many times we have cut him then brought back.

If he had anything about him at all do you really think the Bengals would have given up one of their precious day 3 picks?

His career highlight was the video the Bengals social media team released about it being who Dey THINK gonna beat them Bengals.

How many of Williams ' attempts were in garbage time, though?

Preston Smith is pretty good I agree and I saw him making plays this season already. Would of wanted him, but Ojulari a little more who I
heard we were interested in. Surprised the Packers would let Preston Smith get away in the middle of a good shot at Playoff wins and maybe
even a Superbowl.

Yeah, it was largely the 2020 season where he feasted on some garbage time. We had 3 games where we lost...
10-36
7-30
3-38
...and he got 21 carries (on his 41 offensive snaps) for 145 yards (6.90ypc) in those games. Clearly just him running the clock out as he touched the ball 25 times in the 41 offensive snaps he played in those games.

Outside of those 3 games in 2020 (4 years is a LONG time in RB time) he's at 3.95ypc in his career.

1) Most RBs can't do that.
2) Most RBs aren't great at that.
3) Bengals have their return specialists in Jones and Chase Brown

What Williams does do a lot of - Special Teams.
59% of ST snaps this season. 64% last season. 58% the year before that.

Williams averaged 22 receptions each season in his 3-year college career. He can catch passes.
Is he overly fast or elusive though? No.
Williams's best skill set was running the ball on offense.

Williams is still needed for ST and still probably more trusted to be the 3rd RB over Kendall Milton.

I don't know. Is there somewhere to look that up?
I'm not going to try to go back through all the games he played to find that out.
You can look it up and let us know  Wink
