The stupid is strong here. He had a leg injury. Last I checked kickers need their legs to work properly so that they are able to kick the fn ball!! FFS!

I'd like to see the lot of you fat fcs kick a football through the uprights from 15 yards, let alone 50 plus. That would be some hilarious shit to watch!

He beat the Titans with a kick, then he beat KC with a kick to send us to the SB. How about we show some grace and give him the benefit of doubt based on past merits.

I usually agree with you coach. Yes, he had a leg injury, but that was later in the year. He missed a few before his injury was reported. Do I think it was entirely his fault for the misses no, a few of the snaps were behind the holder, or just a bad hold.

I was laughing when I made the post. It's mostly tongue and cheek. He needs to tighten up (figuratively), but he's young, and should be fine. If we should have learned anything from the Elliot debacle (as Bfine sort of hinted at) it's not to f around and give up or jack around with young strong legged kicking talent too soon.

If he's still having the same problems moving into October I may begin to be concerned.

We are either getting Money Mac back or more Crypto Mac

Yeah, sleep deprivation can mess with you big time and an injury on top of it?

He was just paid as well. Hope we see Evan back to his rookie form this season.

Freaking kickers! Lol...they're a different lot. They'll get the yips, have some utterly ridiculous misses, but let them make one huge kick from distance, and they may go on a crazy run of makes!

Will Lutz comes to mind. There's a reason that SP had him in NO and then brought him to Denver with him. He has a huge leg! And, is capable of going on one of those big runs.

I mean you know, say your down to like 14 seconds left and stuck on your own 8 yard line. Do you want a kicker that you have to get it to the opponents 35 y-line to have a shot or one that gives you a solid chance from the 50. Rhetorical of course, not directed at you.

York was ok last year, but he wasn't any better than Mac for sure imo.

If they bring in a kicker, let it be someone else to compete with. Otherwise Mac is the kicker.

Good points. The mental part of the game can really affect a Kicker more than most positions, but they also need to show accuracy and the big leg.

Evan has shown both before, I will stick with him over Cade York who seems to have a smaller leg.

I look for Money Mac to have a great 2025 and beyond. He has a massive leg. He was injured and also new holder in 2024, kickers are a rare breed and creatures of routine. He will have an entire training camp to work with our second year punter.

I have zero concerns for our kickers, love the punter also.

Now I do worry anout OG and feel we need to defensive trenches as well. I am also not a Geno fan, I hope he plays better than in 2024, but would not break my heart if we drafted a 1st round safety either.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Also, almost all the Kickers in the NFL struggled last year as well with the new Kickoff changes.

Really like our new Punter Rehkow. That guy can bomb it. Mellow

Yeah, I'm not knocking York by no means, and actually, C-Land drafted him because he has a strong leg. This was just after Evan had his terrific rookie season. They were trying to keep up with the FG kicking weapons in the AFC North, but he had some accuracy issues and they eventually moved on.

I don't think York's leg is as strong as Evan's is, but he can thump it from 50 plus.

Yep, York doesn't have a real weak leg, just cannot hit a 60+ like Evan can when healthy.

York tied McPherson's franchise record long of 59 yards last year.  Not saying he is a great kicker or anything but he did tie the record.  McPherson has never kicked a 60+ in a game either.

True, I think McPherson has the bigger leg though and CAN kick a 60+ yarder. Seemed everything had to go right for York to kick that one.

I think McPherson has the potential to make 60 yard field goals but for now I'd like to see him become more automatic in those 40 some yarders. He's 74% in that range during his career here.

Agree. No more missing extra points either. Those are gimmes.
