Happy Tampering Day
#81
Chiefs gave Jaylon Moore 2 years/$30 mil? They said that guy hasn’t even been a regular starter and now he’s protecting Mahomes blind side. No offense to him but I hope he stinks.
Everybody getting paid now days.

Hill being back may help retain (if he had a choice) Pratt (which I know everyone wants gone).

Yep - we are the problem! Just can’t quit it so the NFLs obscene TV $ continues to make them all richer.

Seconded. Versatile, dependable vet for a thin DT room. Above average vs rush and pass. Can play alongside pass rusher or run stopper.

And I think the FA DT class has mostly niche/specialists who are mot every down guys (Williams). Excellent in one aspect but poor in another. Or guys like Hill.

Most rankings I saw had him as a top 5 FA DT. He was a top 4 defender for us last year (Trey, Wilson, Hilton, Hill).

Now draft 1-2 more. And sign some Gs.

So Steelers need a starting LT and a QB and much more.

The problem with the Steelers is their defense is championship quality. They can win with an average offense.

The cap exploding has the market going up.

Tackle market looks nuts. OT & DT.

Guard looks for reasonable. Still seeing Fries, Daniels, Becton, Zeitler, and Jenkins out there.

They have a pretty good group of pass catchers now. Metcalf/Pickens/Austin is a good WR trio, and Freiermuth is a pretty good TE.

I'm just really hoping that they truly believe that Justin Fields is their answer at QB. It'll keep them from ever being a real contender.

I was just thinking some of the big FA's available like Williams usually seem to go in first hour.

Ton of guards still available.

I wonder if we have anyone in town for a visit. If we do not get Williams, hope he stays in the NFC.

There's a lot of teams with cap space too.

No doubt, the Steelers WR room got a huge upgrade. They also have some urgency to get a QB. They have no second round pick and missing a 4th or 4th as well. I don't think they will draft their QB of the future in round 3 or later.

They LOVE Will Howard! They'll probably bring in a vet aka Rodgers or trade for Cousins (Pickens is a UGA alum), then try to grab Howard in rds 3-5.
