you can also make the point that the bengals have only made the playoffs twice with burrow as their qb, while the steelers are making it routinely with a spinning wheel at qb

**** the Steelers and the horse they rode in on.

Not even competitive since 2017.

Glaring upgrades needed:

1. RG (Ford)
2. LG (Volson)
3. DT2 (Jenkins/Jackson)
4. RDE (Murphy)

Sure could use upgraded, but liveable
1. TE1 (D. Sample)
2. LB2 (Pratt)
3. SS (Battle)
4. FS (Stone)
5. PK (McPherson)
6. CB1 (CTB)

WR3 (Iosivas) isn't listed because Gesicki is effectively WR3.

Although with the way we're seeing/hearing Shadeur Sanders fall on draft boards, maybe he ends up a Steeler.

I was reading that the top QB's this year would be 2nd Round picks in average drafts.

Good List.

I would add an TE2/H-Back to replace Erick All for the heavy 12 packages. Somewhere between Glaring and Serviceable probably.

I mean, im just saying, I'll laugh at the steelers once they have more than 2 consectutive losing seasons, and the bengals sweep them for multiple consecutive seasons

...but they wont ever get that QB until they get out of purgatory and accept going 5-12 is better than 9-8 because neither got you anything. That's kind of my point they will remain a QB away (the hardest position in sport to get right).

Side note, were you happy when Marvin got us to the playoffs every year and we lost first round?

Could you see Deion at stealer practices telling Tomlin what to do? Hilarious

I was just limiting myself to the starters.

If you want to talk depth? Then RB2, DT, DE, LB, S, and CB could all use a boost.

I am assuming Ford and Volson will eventually be depth as we sign/draft 2 frontline guards. IF we draft a legit TE1 type, then Sample as TE2 works fine for me with Hudson, Grandy, and McLachlan in the wings.

I consider H-Back/TE2 a rotational starter along with Gesicki and Iosivas. All three would see roughly the same amount of snaps. RB2 you can consider a starter too.

Knew the Pats were going to be throwing cash around since they are way under the cap and have a terrible roster (that freakin’ beat the Bengals last year).

Just another reminder fans that it’s always about the money.

And a massive overpay for a guy who did not start (Carter + Davis). He is a fine pass rusher, but I do wonder that playing between Carter & Sweat probably helped a bit.

True, I knew Milton would probably be much more expensive than BJ because he is a better pass rusher, but that is pretty ludicrous.

Paying him for what he could be I guess.

Two teams, Pats and Bears are very active so far in off season. Both had tons of cash, Pats of couse crazy amount.

I thought Williams would max out at 20 to 22 million. That is a huge number.

They had 3 objectives prior to beginning free agency.

And they failed in all 3 of those objectives.

Expecting even a single positive thing from them is unrealistic at this point.

I agree 100% with all of this
