Fries
Becton
Jenkins

Then Scherff or Zeitler on a 1 year deal.

Or just Scherff and Zeitler on one year deals and kick the can down the road.

Brandon Scherff might not fit. He's a heavy jump set guy.

He must be an upgrade over either G last year.

Yep.

49ers releasing Juszcyk. Rams ditto on Kupp if no trade.

Young back to Saints, 3 years, $57 mil.

I'd sign Zeitler or Scherff. I'd be shocked if the Bengals do it.

51 million for Young making that a really solid deal.

He fits one of these zone teams that have alot more run action to take advantage of what he does best in pass pro. The Bengals may ask him to quick and Vert set more which he may not do as well.

Hope the Bengals hit in the draft... feels like we mostly are bringing the same team back.

They have to sign at least 1 guard in FA.
The good news is that last year their starting guards set the bar so low that any free agent would be an upgrade.

Haha. There's some chance Cody Ford is their Guard.

It's always felt like if they were going to spend big money in outside FA it would be at Guard.

They need to add at least 1 quality free agent guard.  They seriously cant expect Volson and Ford to be the starters and everything is going to be OK.

Until they start hitting on the draft, this will always be the case or less even when big cap hits by remaining stars kick in higher.  We're in this mess because we strike out there.

This could press their "scout(s)" to lean into NFL ready vs potential.  I hope a solid pass rushing DE that won't get mauled in the run game falls to them.  That and any sort of rotational DT/DE type.  It's specific, but possible.

Damn, that's like perfect Mike Brown cost too.
OL coach must not have thought he was a fit?
Only thing I can think of.
Is this another case of OL coach wanting big burly, clunky guys who don't fit the more athletic offensive scheme?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Who are the guards in FA with the traits needed to be great in our offense? How about the draft?

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Daniels is coming off a torn Achilles, to be fair.  Also, we would be paying more, in all likelihood.  No state income tax plus it's friggin Miami.

The top Gs are still out there, mostly. Fries, Becton, Jenkins, Zeitler, etc.

Get Tee done. Get Chase done. Reduce those cap hits. Restructure Burrow. Cut Moss. Free more space.
