A guard, or preferably 2.
Calais Campbell. A guy who can move inside/out. Can bring a little juice to the pass rush game. Incredible leadership.
Von Miller/Z Smith, or someone in this range. Another leader on defense. Older, but can also contribute.
It would be great if the bengals had 4-5 guys, outside of Trey that could contribute 5+ sacks, keeping guys fresh. It’s wild to think a team like the eagles, middle of the road sack total (41), had 5 more sacks than the bengals, but no one had more than 8.
FWIW - Campbell signed last year a 1 year $2,000,000 deal.
I’m assuming a veteran pass rusher is somewhere in the $5,000,000-$8,00,000 range. Hopefully less.
Probably high here, but these moves would really open Up the draft.
I would be down with all of this Bengalbug, I just don't see the Bengals signing older players like that.

Wonder how cooked Chido is. The Titans just released him. Might not be bad to have a steady veteran around the young fellas.

I would love Campbell. He is a player I have alwasy respected. He coulld help BJ mold our young DT's.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

As the roster is currently constructed we’d probably need two rookies to have immediate impacts at guard and defensive line. We need to add a quality starter we can’t rely on rookies. If there’s an injury at tackle Ford is are swing tackle. We only have 6 picks we need 2 guards, DE , DT , linebacker and safety.
I like Jenkins and wouldnt mind having him on the team but Im not sure you can rely on him either. The guy gets injured a lot. Given his background I dont have any problem with the Bengals not giving him a large contract with a bunch of guarantees. I wouldnt pay him over 10 million per season. If he is looking for much more than that, forget about it with his injury history

Campbell would be a good addition to the defense just as Za'Darius Smith would be. Im just not sure we would have room for either one of them on our roster considering all the guys we already have signed plus the likelihood we draft a couple more guys for the defensive line.

Campbell would potentially be the 2nd best DL on the team, if Trey is here.

Me, too. However, assuming we only keep 5 DTs: Hill, Slaton, Jenkins, + Jackson make 4. I think #5 is a draft pick.
DE us thinner. Trey + Ossai + Murphy is 3. Sample & Johnson are both signed. I'd say one of those guys is #5. #4 is probably a pick.
That said, we've kept 11 DL before. And Campbell can certainly play inside out. Though he was more of a DT, run stuffer last year.
Ossai had 5 last year, he should do better easily with more snaps. Hill should get 4+.
It is a pretty good DT/DE draft.

It’s funny when people try to justify not bringing a player in because of depth/etc. it was “we don’t need reciever because WR room is so deep”( last year. This year DL; for the bengals is weak. You make room for a guy like him
The entire reason you sign quality veterans is to not rely on the draft at all

Resigning Hill ends any discussion in a second DT signing. This draft is deep and I already wanted to double dip on either tackle or end.
