I hope Bengals are not done in FA, Keep Trey and sign at least 1 guard.
If guard is the most glaring weakness on draft day and these 2 are available, who do you pick?
Banks is listed as a tackle, but sliding down some boards. Many feel he may be a better guard in the NFL. But is he ready to start at guard in 2025/
Booker is recognized as a solid can't miss ready now OG.
Or do you choosing a falling Pierce, Green or possibly Walker or Williams both from Georgia?
I would love to trade back, but to do so we need to find a trade partner willing to give us a second round pick so not likely.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Banks, I think you take the risk on provided there's not better prospects on the board. You can put him at LG for two years and groom him to take over at LT when Brown's contract is up.
Booker shit the bed at the Combine and isn't a scheme fit, as he's pure gap-power only. The OL is the least athletic in the league, and Booker will only drag that down further.

This is seeming more and more likely to me the more I think about it. We can get Donovan Jackson, Ratledge or a pass rushing End in the
2nd round but Golden needs to add that player that his Defense needs and doesn't have. That is Walker to be the Viper LB.

I may be wrong, but Jackson ay go in round 2 and Ratledge has climbed into top 40. That is the dilemma the FO faces, just not can't miss guards at ick #49 in round 2.
I do think we need to focus on defense with at least 4 of our 6 picks.

Booker would be really tempting. He has A+ character. He appears to have more functional athleticism than his testing would suggest. We've seen guys bomb the combine but play well in games. The "day 1 ready" thing might not be accurate. Bama OL coaching/pro preparation does not seem wonderful.
Pearce is rumored to have extreme coachability/attitude issues. Similar to what some hinted about with Billy Price but far worse. Green is rumored to have Carmen type gross character issues. The Georgia boys might be products of the system moreso than individual wrecking balls.
So whose dings and scratches are the most negligible relative to their strengths? Harmon misses some tackles - a ding that can be fixed with experience. Ezeiruaku has A+ character and production.

After the combine Ratledge's stock has really went up. Could be right, this is why a trade down in the first makes so much sense for us.

With the contracts Chase and Tee received, it's going to be really tough for the Bengals to spend their 1st on offense. There isn't a G in this class with a true 1st round grade. If they do go offense, it'll be because one of the Top 10-12 prospects fell, because a true 1st on offense is better than a glorified 2nd on D. Jeanty, Warren, and Loveland would be the only ones in that boat.

I’ve settled on DE. I thought he was too small but he’s bigger than Walker. Pierce has some character issue, and Williams reminds me of Murphy.

For me I'm down to 4 picks and they're all a need. I would be happy with any of them. Defense will be priority obviously, it has to get faster and more pressure
no order:
1) Mike Green- De/Edge
2) Mykel Williams- Edge/LB
3) Nick Emmunwori- SS
4) Jalon Walker- LB/ Viper
- if we can trade back in the 1st to gain a 2nd, then I could see us take Tate Ratledge, but I think we fix guard in rd 3 and sign a solid vet for at least one of the spots.

The more I think about, I agree Nick Emmouwori could change our defense for years to come. Also, I see more DE/Edge available at picj 49. It would be a tough and risky call to trade back if our future all pro safety ia available.

For me,
Tier 1: If they fall, I am overjoyed. Run to podium.
1. Tyler Warren, TE
2. Jalon Walker, LB/Edge,
3. Will Johnson, CB
4. Will Campbell, OT/OG (if youvthink he's a G)
5. Armad Membou, OT/OG (ditto)
Tier 2: More realistically there, still overjoyed.
6. Jihaad Campbell, LB
7. Nick Emmanwori, S
Tier 3: Happy but not overjoyed. Maybe there if trade back.
8. Malaki Starks, S
9. Donovan Jackson, OG/OT
10. Grey Zabel, IOL
11. Walter Nolen, DT
12. Derrick Harmon, DT/NT
13. Kenneth Grant, NT/DT
14. Mike Green, OLB/DE
That is my Fine Fourteen.

I'm pretty sure that most everyone knows that I'm all for Emmanwori at #17 if he's there. However, if he's gone, then by all means clean up on the best DE available.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

This DE class does nothing for me this year. Nobody really stands out except the kid from Penn St who will be the first pick. They are pretty much the same player.
I honestly think Emmanwori will be a game changer eventually, maybe not this season but sometime down the road.

I really don't like the idea of a rookie OT trying to play OG when he has never played OG. Especially if we are counting on him to play.
