Yet, week one is still 7 or so weeks away. It is not over until game 1, then the official season begins week 1.

It wouldn't make much sense for him to.  He'd have to sue to get re-admitted.  Then even if they allow him to go back and play, the Bengals would own his rights after the season(per Florio).  Stewart's options are basically to play for the Bengals, get traded by the Bengals, or to just not play in the NFL.  It makes me wonder why teams don't negotiate super, super hardball clauses more often if the deck is so stacked against the player tbh.  It also makes me wonder why the NFLPA didn't iron out the rookie contracts to be even more cookie cutter than they already are.
