Look at some of the "discussions" right here. The larger point gets lost in the battle of the exact, accepted definition of one word. The use of slang term to slander a group becomes the focus versus the issue of the group.
One part of the protesters acted violently so the right can make the case that it wasn't ALL the Nazis fault.
Hedging is what people like Trump do when their personal beliefs are shown for all the world to see.
btw, slightly off topic, do people still want to say that Trump "isn't a politician" when he refuses to come down hard on an easy target like Nazis because he knows most if not all of them support him?

The horrific events that occurred in Charlottesville, VA last weekend were a blatant reminder of how far America has not come.

There to protest against "Unite the Right" and their affiliate terrorists groups, the young man was beaten in a parking lot that is said to be in close proximity to a police station.
“Me and about five of my friends were out protesting," Harris said in an exclusive with The Root. "We thought [the racists] left, but at one point they came back. Everyone was exchanging words with the group, but then the KKK and white supremacists just rushed us."
“They were beating me with poles. I have eight staples in my head, a broken wrist and a chipped tooth."
Social media has already put a call-out to find the men involved in the beating— a photo was taken by Zach D. Robertsthat's being used to find the culprits. But the fact that it may have happened under law enforcement's watch is what's most concerning.
“The beating happened right beside the police department, and no police were there to help me at all. My mother is now thinking about suing the city of Charlottesville,” Harris said.
“I think for them to be allowed to come here and protest is really crazy. How do you expect the KKK to come to your city to protest, and them not be violent? I understand everyone is entitled to their freedom of speech, but the government and the mayor made a bad business move. It’s only caused havoc in your own city. It’s crazier that people have the hatred in their heart to want to kill black people."

It's interesting in thinking about all of this, more. I know of a BLM activist that has been named in lawsuits by law enforcement officers for inciting violence against them, and he has done less to incite violence than the people named in this lawsuit. I will have to look into this more.

To be fair, D-Day happened in France, out of the jurisdiction of our First Amendment. So it was perfectly ok the Nazis were confronted over there.

I love how all that ***** admits to talking shit on the internet then cries about someone talking shit on the internet. Also shows how weak these guys are that they have to have a gun on them to feel secure. If you need a gun at a march or whatever, maybe you're marching for the wrong thing.

I've heard that the Nazis were supposed to enter the area from one direction. From what I hear, they did not do that, and it quickly got out of hand. The police shut it down from there. I did hear that police escorted the Nazis out thru Antifa... Probably not a great idea. Who knows? It's all fake news... amiright?

My comment about the police losing control dealt with that one specific situation which involved the assault upon the racists spokesman trying to make his racist statement I watched on the Vice News episode. Not in general or in any situation I didn't observe in order to form an opinion.
