Like I said, you don't know the difference between an opinion that is based off of facts and an opinion that is based off of perception based off of what you want to be true.

Example:

Opinion based off of perception of what you want to be true:

Trump and Biden are both the same because they both closed their eyes at events.

Opinion based off of facts:

Biden is struggling because he fell asleep for thirty seconds and only woke up because someone woke him up and then he put his head in his hands because he was obviously still struggling to stay awake.

Trump closing his eyes for a few seconds at a time is not struggling because that doesn't even mean he fell asleep or was even tired.

It's hilarious that I had to explain that to you.

I think you're confusing your arguments. I never mentioned Trump or how long he fell asleep vs how long Biden fell asleep. I've never contested that Biden fell asleep. You can re-read our conversation if you want to verify that.

As it stands right now, you have not yet made a factual error in this particular thread, at least not one that I've noticed, because this thread is entirely based on the opinion of whether an old man falling asleep for a few seconds (I use the word "few" to mean "some" and I consider 30 seconds to be "some" seconds. Just wanted to pre-emptively clarify that because you have the opinion that sleeping for 30 seconds is significantly worse than sleeping for 3 seconds, for whatever reason) is a big deal. My opinion is that it is not.

Where the whole fact vs opinion thing came in, for me, was you claiming that I was "failing" to bash you, presumably referencing multiple interactions between the two of us (because my initial post that you responded to sarcastically didn't even reference you). I clarified that I am not bashing you, nor can you determine if I was "failing" because failure in a setting like this is not up to the two people talking but more so the people observing the conversation.

I did, however, point out that you are often factually wrong about certain topics and my correcting your factually wrong statements may come off to you as bashing because no one likes being corrected, especially by someone they consider an adversary/opponent.

I made this distinction because you called me a hypocrite due to your misunderstanding about the difference between "failing" rhetorically and "being wrong" factually.

Then I gave an example of a time that you were factually wrong, citing our recent interaction with the whole payouts to illegal immigrants discussion. The situation with who separated more families, Trump or Obama.

Now, that may be my fault because I brought an example into this thread from another thread. That may have confused you. Even this very conversation has had many twists and turns along the way, it's understandable that you got a little lost. It happens to the best of us.

You also accused me of being "factually inaccurate" twice in this thread when neither of my posts had any facts in them. That is why I suspected you don't know what a fact is vs an opinion.

I think it's sad because I see the stories being blown out of proportion by the right wing main stream media machine and see the control they have over their target audience. And when I come here and see those same stories being parroted it lets me know their plans are working perfectly. They know their audience for sure. And just like FB they feed the hate and division because it keeps you hooked.

Trump wasn't sleeping.  Closing your eyes for 3 seconds isn't sleeping.

Biden fell asleep and was woken up after 30 seconds or else he would have been sleeping a lot longer, which is evident by him putting his head down in his hands.

I quit reading after that because that proves that you can't be taken seriously in this discussion.

I can tell you didn't read because literally my second sentence was I didn't mention Trump.

By the way, this post is actually deflection, something you accused me of several times.

Just another example of your delusional projection.

Obviously there's no point in continuing this.

Enjoy Tucker tonight.

Our 3 oldest presidents were all reported to have dozed off at times. Breaking news. Pick nits all you want.

You ignore my point that you claim he dozed off for a few seconds, when thirty is not a few, but then also ignored the point that he would have been sleeping a lot longer had he not been woken up.

You obviously know that that's what I meant because now you're saying you're done without addressing it in this post when you were happy to address the other part.

Would you say it was 30 seconds each time? Did someone have to come wake you up?

Enquiring minds want to know.

The takeaway I have from the threads started by the OP and perpetuated by some of the more vocal Trump fans in general is that they tend to overplay their hand. The left and right have both spent years pointing out embarrassing or stupid things "the other side's" president does (god help us all if a camera were on us 24/7, by the way) but it is the asymmetrically overblown conclusions that are added that really turn things into fodder for ridicule.

FACT - Biden dozed off

My Take - Ok, Biden dozed off, that's stupid, that is silly, what an old dumbass.

Hyperbolic Take - Biden dozed off, he's a senile old embarrassment, don't you wish you voted for Donald Trump? How can you possibly defend this national embarrassment of a president? The USA is finished.

FACT - Biden stutters and loses his place

My Take - Meh, there is plenty of footage of presidents blurting out dumb stuff or losing their place.

Hyperbolic Take - Biden is clearly senile and has dementia and Alzheimer's, don't you wish you voted for Trump? It is our Constitutional duty to remove him from office before he trades the USA to China for magic beans.

FACT - People in a stadium chanted F*** YOU JOE BIDEN.

My Take - Biden ain't so popular, but I've seen people in a stadium cheer for hot dogs being shot out of a canon, so who knows what the hell gets into crowds.

Hyperbolic Take - There is no way a man who is jeered by a stadium won the 2020 election, our entire democracy is a farce, Donald Trump actually won and our voting machines were hacked by China and dead communist leaders.

I could go on, but believe me if someone said "Donald Trump can't drink a bottle of water with one hand, America is finished because he's clearly had multiple strokes, don't you wish you voted for Hillary Clinton?" I'd make fun of them, too.

The video of Biden is a bit more damning.  I didn't see the woman behind him close her eyes but there is a still of it (shown).

But yeah, I can't imagine a few didn't close their eyes and possibly nod off.

Biden nodded off, that's a given.  Whether or not we should all be ashamed to be Americans in response is the real point of debate here.

1 are they all leaders of the most powerful country on earth?

2 I count 3, maybe 4 including Biden: maybe the one lady behind him, but who sleeps with their head up? The lady in front of him could be looking at her phone or just down and you can't for sure tell if her eyes were closed. There's one for sure in the second picture.

No one has answered why someone would come wake him up if it weren't a big deal? Did someone come wake up those other people?
