Cuomo admits he's lost total control of NYC
#1
https://news.yahoo.com/cuomo-says-trump-better-army-165501950.html

Quote:"He better have an army if he thinks he's gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don't want to have anything to do with him," Cuomo said at an emergency news conference in response to the directive. "He can't have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don't want to have anything to do with him."

So the dude tries to respond to Trump's assertion that it's anarchist by saying this

I have made a lot of assumptions about those on the right. Maybe I shouldn’t have.

Let me explain. He is saying the wildly unpopular president is very unpopular.

Kind of like rand who can’t cut his grass without getting his ass beat for being a shithead neighbor. The conman who ran a fake charity while taking dumps in a gold toilet in this city is not liked by many. So much so that he would need protection.

So left wingers will respond with mob violence to someone they don't like?  Not a very positive character trait, that.

Can you imagine the absolute shit storm if the Governor of Mississippi said Biden (or worse Obama) better bring an Army if he goes to visit Vicksburg. I can't imagine the mob rule fan would have the same take.

Someone could shoot Donald Trump on 5th avenue in broad daylight and he wouldn't lose any supporters.

I don’t think it has to be left wingers. Generally a con artist who has been outed will get a negative reception no matter where they go. But this is 2020 so you never know

You're right, NYC is not known for it's left leaning populace.

I'm sure John Lennon felt safe there, too.

If I was Trump, I would tell that airbag that I am the president of the US and can go to whatever city I want.  Until January, he does have an army, the US Army.

Furthermore, these big cities in the deep blue states are probably so 3rd world by now that just about any average citizen would do well to have a private army to escort them.

In Texas we have our liberal mecca in Austin, but we also have strong governors that do their best to nip in the bud the local officials radical agendas.

Oh no, no, no.  The shithole that NYC has become is squarely on DeBlasio and you'd be hard pressed to find many New Yorkers who disagree.  Trump isn't responsible for everything you dislike.  If he was half as powerful as you seem to think he'd be dictator for life already.

Until J. D. Salinger ordered him killed.  Cool

An interesting aside, Lennon was becoming quite conservative by the time of his death.

Actually Bloomberg, despite being a gun confiscating twat, did a very good job of maintaining the changes that Giuliani wrought.  Anyone who lived from the Dinken's era to Giuliani knows what a complete 180 the city pulled.  It only took one progressive ******* to utterly destroy it.  There are conservative (not political conservative) predictions, that it will be decades before NYC looks anything like it did in the 90's and 00's, if it ever fully recovers.  The exodus has already begun.

The "Greatest city on Earth"..  Really now?

I might be jaded, but I'd likely vote for most any small town in nowhere USA, where most folks get along just fine and the crime rate stays low.  I mean, who in the hell is a fan of tons of people, stacked into building after building of multi family living units?  People need a bit of space, where they can be themselves.

Pretty sure it was Bill Gates that offed him.... Maybe with some help from Brad Pitt.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Well he certainly didn't have very liberal views on women.
