How Is Biden Leading Trump?!
Does it bother you that a draft dodger views American POWs with contempt?

Because it bothers me.

I know a lot of fathers and if one of them ever saw Biden doing ANYTHING LIKE that to their daughter, let's just say they'd make Joe look like me being crippled was just a sprained ankle.

You really want this guy leading the most powerful country on the earth?

Not to mention that, is his mental ability is already declining this much, you have to ask yourself if he'll be in diapers halfway through his term?

Brad, you’re acting like he is grabbin’ ‘em by the *****.

Because when you’re famous they let you do that.

Does it bother you that Trump and his kids treat charitable contributions as their personal piggy bank?

If the Red Cross committee that kind of fraud the feds would shut them down just like the Trump Foundation.

You have to be exceptionally scumbag to steal from charity.

What's it say about our President when a ride sharing app shows more leadership to educate and unite people on why we should wear a face covering instead of declaring "I'm not going to do it" immediately after announcing the CDC recommendation to wear a face covering?

Basically, Trump announced the expert's recommendations and then announced he isn't going to listen to the experts.

It's like when he was told don't look directly into the solar eclipse and then he looked directly into a solar eclipse.

Look at that face.  Classic.

The Spanish Flu of "1917" (spoiler: it was 1918) "probably ended" World War II. Seems legit.

And who could forget this gem from the other day?

Galvanizing stuff.

I'm not crazy about my choices, but I'm going to vote for the guy with a solar energy plan and not the guy who stared at a solar eclipse after being told not to stare at a solar eclipse.  That's all the cognitive testing I need.

I am not saying Trump "tried" to flout rule of law; I am claiming he has done it many times, gotten away with it, and continues to do it with the blessing of his party.

Even if I bite on the whatabout, I still don't really know what you are talking about. So I cannot "refresh your memory."

Can you cite/indicate SPECIFICALLY where Obama flouted rule of law and overcame Congressional checks? Right now it is not clear that you understand checks and balances and the rule of law.

So Trump SAID something years ago, and that's worse than Biden ACTUALLY violating women?!

Hilarious Hilarious Hilarious Hilarious Hilarious

You LITERALLY CANNOT make this stuff up!

By the way, from Biden's live press conference just now:

Quote:"Covid has taken, just since the outbreak, more than 100 year........ look........ here's..... the lives..... it's just.........."

SERIOUSLY?!  How long has he had to prepare for this?!  Not to mention that he was reading off a teleprompter the entire time except maybe he tried to freelance just then!

Back to Biden: I guess he's allowed to do it because he's famous.

Double-standards are HILARIOUS!

So you do know that Trump is currently being sued for sexual assault and has refused to give a sample of his DNA to compare to what the victim says is his...right?

"double standard"

If Trump has "gotten away with it" then your issue should be with the other 2 branches for not fulfilling their duties, but luckily we have experts on message Boards to point out where he "got away with it". So we really don't need them to rule

A ruling has already been made that we cannot bring up previous examples of past POTUS going outside the scope of their branch.

But yes, you're right. It's a failure to understand on my part.

Bfine, this is just dodgery.

No one has "ruled" you cannot bring up past examples or pertinent legal precedents for examining current candidates in a thread about their competence.  You just don't have any that aren't uninformed whataboutism and expansive equivocation.

No one would mind if you brought up Nixon's obstruction of justice or Reagan's Iran contra shenanigans to clarify why Trump is or is not obstructing justice. You just don't have anything on Obama like that. Whereas Trump is on record as committing similar abuses.

For the record, I have clearly stated that Trump gets away with it because of his party--i.e., their control of the Senate enabled by Republican voters. The judiciary is "fulfilling its duty" for the most part. My "issue" therefore is exactly where it should be--with Trump, his party, and the voters who enable both. (e.g., reread posts # 204 and 213 on this thread.) Not to mention Trump deflectors who "laugh" at those who refuse to normalize Trump's incompetence and character flaws.

So far, looks like I am right that you have failed to demonstrate you understand Trump's abuse of power and contempt for rule of law as such.

How many times have each been accused or sued for sexual harassment?

How many times have each made inappropriate sexual comments about their own daughter?

How many porn stars did each pay off in violation of campaign finance laws to be quiet about an affair while married to their third wife who was pregnant with their fifth kid from three different baby mommas?

The allegations against Biden are definitely a stain on his resume and a reason why I have my reservations. However, when you compare their histories, Trump is much more unseemly. It’s not even close.

And that’s basically how it is with each of your complaints regarding Biden. Yeah, Biden says some stupid stuff because sometimes his not the sharpest knife in the drawer. But, Trump’s not even a dull knife. He’s a spoon.

This is not to excuse any of Biden’s faults. It’s just acknowledging Trump’s faults are worse and more numerous.

Nor is it whataboutism. I have essentially two choices and I’m gonna pick the lesser of two evils.

Yeah, but can't you just convince yourself that the lesser of two evils isn't evil at all?  Actually, the lesser of two evils is totally awesome and the only guy who can save us from the greater of two evils who will assuredly usher in the apocalypse!

Biden also called for an open investigation, which seemed to cause his accuser to back off. Trump's responses have been to publicly call his accusers ugly...
