What sticks in so many heads about Benghazi isn't so much that it happened.  It was the entire way it was handled, both before and after the fact.  The whole lying about it to the American public, blaming it on a youtube video, to denying the facts that were later discovered, to the revelation that she shared Top Secret info that next day with Chelsea (while still trying to dupe the American Public).

It has been proven, by the Trey Gowdy interview of James Comey, that Hillary lied, many times.  The evidence is clearly there.  In my opinion, the only reason that she was able to remain a candidate was because of Executive Order by Obama, to his puppets at the DOJ.  It will be interesting to see if this whole Benghazi/email server/Clinton global initiative/dnc investigation ever comes back to life, once Obama's appointees are out of office.

gun control hurt her with moderates, but her agenda wasn't far left enough for millenial voters of her party. They flocked to Bernie for a reason, and gun control wasn't near the top of that list. Education, marriage equality, defense spending, etc cost her that growing chunk of the base

look for the party to shift more left once the numbers are sorted in a year or so.

I don't think they need to shift more left.  I think that would be a mistake.  I think they need to pick a better quality candidate.  They probably could have won with the 3rd most unpopular candidate in history instead the 2nd most unpopular candidate in history.

I think it just came down to she was simply not a good candidate with all the cumulative baggage, and then throw in the 'progressive' liberal ideas that were more than what Obama has done. I dont even think Bernie would have won to be honest. However I still think Biden would have, and he wouldnt have been as liberal as she was, or at least I am assuming he wouldnt.

I agree with everything, but I think Bernie could have won and would have at least fared better than Crooked. Bernie came with no baggage and seemed to have a pretty humble career in politics, with only the socialist stigma going against him. Trump had pretty low favor-ability ratings so anything short of an opponent with 30 years of major corruption would have crushed him on the moral high ground alone, not to mention an election geared more toward actual policy discussions would have been bad for Trump.

Shit, someone on r/de this morning saying 'refugees welcome' and provided information on immigration. No hijab needed. LOL

Thanks, DNC, for president Trump. Really ***** appreciate it. And people wonder why I hesitate to call myself a Democrat.

I had a longer response I erased for simplicity's sake: two of the four people killed were CIA contractors.  What does that tell you?

Quote:The Memorial Wall is located in the Original Headquarters Building lobby on the north wall. There are 117 stars carved into the white Alabama marble wall,[2] each one representing an employee who died in the line of service.[1] Paramilitary officers of the CIA's Special Activities Division comprise the majority of those memorialized.[3]
Quote:Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods - Killed during the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on the night of September 11–12, 2012. Both were former Navy SEALs and worked as CIA security contractors.[67] In addition, the US ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and one other American diplomat, Sean Smith, were also killed in the attack.[68]
Former SEALs working a security gig?  WTF were they guarding?  Little over qualified to be a gate guard.
