Little girl's encounter with Pope a farce
#21
The brilliant George Will is spot on regarding this Papal fraud....read this then quietly leave this thread.

http://www.nwfdailynews.com/article/20150924/OPINION/150929690/16053/OPINION/?Start=2

Supporters of Francis have bought newspaper and broadcast advertisements to disseminate some of his woolly sentiments that have the intellectual tone of fortune cookies.

Lol  love that one. Liberals also sound like they're reading fortune cookies.

Francis lectures about our responsibilities but neglects the duty to be as intelligent as one can be. This man who says “the Church does not presume to settle scientific questions” proceeds as though everything about which he declaims is settled, from imperiled plankton to air conditioning being among humanity’s “harmful habits".

And man made global warming...that is no doubt settled..lol

Francis grew up around the rancid political culture of Peronist populism, the sterile redistributionism that has reduced his Argentina from the world’s 14th highest per-capita GDP in 1900 to 63rd today. Francis’ agenda for the planet — “global regulatory norms” — would globalize Argentina’s downward mobility.

This Pope probably clings to the liberal belief that socialism has always failed only because it has never been administered correctly.LOL

Poverty has probably decreased more in the past two centuries than it has in the preceding three millennia because of industrialization powered by fossil fuels. Only economic growth has ever produced broad amelioration of poverty, and since economic growth began in the late 18th century, it has depended on such fuels.

Good point George!

The Pope is a fraud.
He is coming to AMERICA and supposedly will celebrate the Mass in Spanish? How many Americans speak Spanish, 12%???
In the wake of the legalization of gay marriage in the U.S., a real Pope would have touched on gay marriage and abortion... did he make some sort of deal with the devil that is Obama and agree not to go there?

I've always considered it to be one that has  personal relationship with Christ, regardless how many say it is wrong or they have taken the "easier path".

Suppose I've never thought to label folks not-actual and actual Christians. Of course I don't label people. Guess we're just different like that.

Why would you consider someone a Christian if they don't follow the word of Christ? Considering it personal is great. Ignoring what he said to justify your personal opinions is malicious and selfish.

Where did you get that I think folks should ignore the words written in red?

Well Obama isn't the devil of course. He's the anti-Christ. Pope Francis is the false prophet. Duh. You need to study your Chick tracts more carefully.

Well, that just means he falls in with the overwhelming majority of the religious right in America.

Why do you think they raise such a fuss over evolution? Most of them are still too busy struggling to finish Genesis.

Thanks for the judgment.  And all this time I thought I was being a "real Christian".

What issues has he ignored and what has he lobbied on that are not of consequence to the Church?

Why not in politics? "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's." Separation of church and state.

Is he not a head of a state? Yes, a state with no citizens. There are no Vaticanians.

What issue has he ignored? The sexual abuse of children and vulnerable adults by Catholic clerics around the world. The United Nations and the International Criminal Court have made recommendations on how to deal with this major global issue that is entirely the Catholic Church's responsibility. What has the Pope done in response? Nothing.

If anything THIS pope has ignored the situation less than past ones.

Will it ever be enough?  Probably not.  But he has not ignored it as has happened in the past.

This pope needs to step aside. if this is his view of the new Catholic Church and where we are going then i think many will be disenfranchised. I look forward to hear what our priest says tomorrow.

- advocates for a "culture of care" and then goes on to say that the government must take the lead and be invoved.

I don't remember and bible lesson where the governemnt takes care of anyone. I do however remember the lessons where we are told to get out help the needy in our community as individuals and church groups. Part of getting out oursleves is to expierence the lives of those we are helping. To show them Gods love in a personal way.

- he speaks on immigration and how we should be open to to those who seek a better life , even remarks on our beginnings.

Yet he doesn't mention the Christians in the Middle East who are being slaughtered, who can not flee to the UN camps out of fear for their lives. So they are not included in any of these refugee groups. These people are facing the same path as the jews in Germany did pre ww2. Yet he doesn't mention them.

- speaks about protecting life at all stages then is silent on abortion, despite it being a massive debate in america today. Instead only mentions the death penalty.

So I guess the pope is ok with 3m dead babies. That's not any lessons I have ever been taught.

Maybe he should take some notes from Mother Theresa.

Faith isn't political. It's personal. It's about us all sacrificing our time, our money, to help others and advocate for God. He is advocating the government take care of everyone. Where is the personal sacrifice of us all? Going to the soup kitchens, taking clothing to the needy, helping those who are in need. You can't do Gods work by only writing a check (or in this example paying taxes). It's lazy and it's wrong. Part of The deal is getting out and showing others that there is hope and that God works from within all of us to inspire them to help another in whatever fashion they can.

Unless you are not Catholic and believe Jesus is the foundation of the church and not The Pope (I'm not supposed to know that).

WTS, not all have "sold out". Matter of fact it is suggested that the reason Boehner is stepping down (he's a Catholic) is because he was so moved by the Pope's words.

Separation of church and state does not exist in the Vatican, a theocracy, with around 500-600 citizens.

And while he has still been weak on that issue, certainly not strong enough from the perspective of much of the global community, he has not ignored it.

This...
I used to be a Beck fan, until he just became about shilling his books.
I used to enjoy him, as he provoked thought.
Now, it seems as if he wants to build a cult of conspiracy theorists.
I still snicker at the Obama hotline though.

He's only ever been about shilling.  He's a morning DJ who figured out an angle to make some money.

He's used to at least be entertaining though.

Same with Limbaugh.  Everyone with half a brain knew he was just acting...but he was funny.

Now he's just angry.

Yet he says nothing about these topics when in front of congress? When these topics are at the forefront of public discussion.

Your editorial on Beck has nothing to do with the pope not mentioning these topics in front of congress.
