Savvy move by the FO. Impressed (if true)

probly not much.   Just enough to make sure the Texans can have him and he not hit the market

He's saying he's guessing but the compensation sounds about right.

Wow they got something for him, that's great! Does that impact the cap savings on bonus money?

My only concern is Texans are a good team, but glad we are getting something for him and will immediately get 6 million in extra cap space.

Free Agency ain't over until it is over.

First 6 years BB - 41 wins and 54 losses with 1-1 playoff record with 2 teams Browns and Pats

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

This is wild and a hell of a move regardless of the pick.

I guess the Texans thought Mixon was going to get more than 8 million per year on the open market and wanted to lock him down?

Do we then avoid the 2 million dead cap hit Mixon would have brought us?

I love it.

Andre Perrota is assuming it's a 6th rounder.

Pretty sure that the signing bonus part is still the responsibility of the Bengals.

I'd be more concerned if Mixon was an actual above average running back. He's nothing special anymore.

Still, getting a pick for him AFTER you announce he's going to be released is just absolutely wild. What are the Texans doing?

Texans only have 3 7th rounders after round 4 this year. Maybe it's for one of those...or a conditional pick next year?
