KC had 2 NTs that weighed over 325 pounds last season.

Our base defense had Reader at NT, either 2 gap over center or in the 1 hole, and BJ as a 3T. Depending which side BJ was on, the edge opposite would slide in a little to almost a 5T on that side.

Poona reminded me of Billings when he was a Longhorn.

poona is like 5'11 310  but good against the run.

Short, but with wide shoulders and strong is what I always remembered of Poona. Surprised he is that light, but that don't matter as
long as he is good against the run.

Mike Pennel/Derick Nnadi and Javon Hargrave respectively. Even in a 4 man front if you are playing over or under you have a 0/1 technique. Nnadi is actually a FA interestingly and wouldn’t be a bad stop gap to see what we find in the draft.

Who and how much did they play? Feel free to post their stats.

Their starters were Jones and Nnadi.

I suppose if we want a couple big guys that stay on the bench we can find a couple.

Yeah, and Pennel was a beast for KC in this latest Super Bowl run.

Didn't know Nnadi was a Free Agent. Might want to take a look at him if Reader signs with the Lions.

mike Pennei had 4 more total tackles than I did last year and the other 2 are about the same size as Hill.

Short yardage and goal line only.  The AFC West is the exact opposite of the AFCN, the need isnt really there as much.

He took over for Nnadi in the playoffs after he got hurt and was a key player for them. Beyond size Nnadi is an actual nose tackle size or not. The positions aren’t the same, you are asked to anchor and take on double teams which is different then penetrating upfield.

Trenches!!!

I wonder if BJ Hill will get up to 318ish and play more in the A gap this year.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

I wonder why BJ just put his house up for sale?

Pennel was the highest graded IDL on either team in the Super Bowl.

That's 1 great game. He played 3 games on the year and had 4 total tackles. KC did just fine without him for some reason.

We play a 4-man line, we don't "need" a huge NT.

Brother, we play the Ravens, Steelers, and Browns twice a year, we need a solid NT.  Come on now.

Maybe that has been part of our problem in stopping the run, need to use more 5-2 fronts.

In a passing league?
