Terror in Turkey

https://www.yahoo.com/news/istanbul-airport-suicide-bombers-000000377.html

What we know:

Quote:   Dozens are dead and at least 147 others wounded in coordinated suicide bombings at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport on Tuesday night, according to Turkish officials.

Three suicide bombers carried out the attack, Istanbul's governor told reporters. There are reports that a police officer wrestled one of the bombers to the ground prior to detonation.

One of the bombers opened fire at the international terminal entrance then blew himself up, Turkey's justice minister said. But another official said police fired on the suspected attackers before the explosions.

The attackers detonated themselves before entering a security checkpoint at the airport's entrance.

A senior Turkish official says initial indications suggest Islamic State group is behind airport attack. U.S. officials told NBC News' Richard Engel that it's "very likely" the attack was work of 35 terrorists ISIS sent to Turkey ahead of Ramadan.

The U.S. State Department said it is working to determine whether any Americans were among the victims.

Turkey has been rocked by several recent suicide bombings carried out by Kurdish or Islamic State group militants.
Photos and videos taken at the airport show a gruesome scene.

Sympathy to the families of those murdered over there today. It must be that "j.v. squad" as our president called them a couple years ago. You know the ones that inspired Paris, Brussels, and Orlando attacks in the last year, and countless number of murders elsewhere. Glad we have leaders in power that know how to deal with them.

I saw where there are 2.5 million Syrian refugees in Turkey. They said 10% of the people that lived in Syria now live in Turkey. It is said they have made their bed; as they considered the radicals allies

And some of you want to let them into the US?
It is so hard to vet people that don't have proper paperwork. My wife had to have all of her documents, or else she wasn't going to be allowed into the US. I don't see how most of the refugees will have proper documents to begin with.

At least he isn't arming them.

What's your plan for dealing with them?

Do you think this has always been happening over in that part of the world and the media has just chosen to not magnify the situation until recently?  Or, has the attacks gotten worse and worse over time and now the media has made this a priority to cover? Its kind of like any time shootings happen here in the states.

This has been going on in parts of Africa and the Middle east for years. It really is just more in the forefront as it has started effecting us and European countries more recently.

It's fear mongering.

Fear gets people to watch. People watching equates to profits.

We've had school violence as long as we've had schools. We only started getting saturated with the impact since the late 1990s. Same in Africa and the me. There's parts where there's not really an end to conflict, it just changes names as people try to understand it.

What do you think should be done to deal with them?

The three suicide bombers who attacked Istanbul's main airport, killing 43 people, were nationals from Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, a senior Turkish official said Thursday.

The statement came as counter-terror teams launched 16 simultaneous raids in Istanbul, Reuters reports, quoting two unidentified officials. Turkish police said they have detained 13 people, including three foreign nationals,  in connection with the attack, local media reported.

The private Dogan news agency said the Russian attacker had entered the country one month ago and left his passport in a house the men had rented in the neighborhood of Fatih.

The Karsi newspaper, quoting police sources, said the trio was part of a seven-person cell who entered Turkey on May 25. The assailants raised the suspicion of airport security on the day of the attack because they showed up in winter jackets on a summer day, several media reported.

Interior Minister Efkan Ala, meanwhile, raised the latest official death toll to 43, including 19 foreign nationals, with 230 people injured. Among those wounded, 94 remained in the hospital, the Istanbul Governor’s office reported.

The senior Turkish official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government regulations, did not name the attackers, the Associated Press reports. He also would not confirm Turkish media reports that the Russian national was from the restive Daghestan region.

Authorities believe the Islamic State is behind the attack, which wounded more than 230 people. An official claim of responsibility has not been forthcoming.

Earlier Thursday, nine suspects linked to the group, also known as ISIL or ISIS, were also arrested in large-scale police raids in the coastal city of Izmir, Anadolu reported.

Police said they found three hunting rifles and documents relating to the extremist group during the searches, according to the agency.

Turkish authorities declared a day of national mourning after the attack, which was carried out by three suicide bombers late Tuesday.

Officials: Early airport security helped disrupt Istanbul attack

The three attackers arrived together at the lower-level arrivals hall; one went inside, opened fire and then detonated his explosives, an Interior Ministry official and another official told the Associated Press. During the chaos, the second attacker went upstairs to departures and blew himself up. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation.

We better make sure we block out all immigration from these countries as well right?

Since these Islamic Terrorists were from Asia, doesn't that reinforce Trumps stance suspending Muslim immigration until we can figure out how to vet who comes into the country?

Just a question, that's all but it's worth pondering.

How do you determine the religion of a person?

example:

Person Whose Job is to Keep Out Muslims:  Hello Mohamed Asolam Abdule Abukaki.  Your papers indicate you were born in Italy.  What is your religion?

Mahomed Asolam Abdule Abukaki:  I am Christian.

PWJisKOM:  Well come on in then.  I was about to hit you with the stun gun had you said Muslim.

I mean do you expect them to tell the truth?
