For all we know, the DC might be someone no one expects, someone not part of a rumor or some guy's speculation.

That's fair, I am simply commenting in this thread about a proposed option. Also to be fair our current head coach for the last month has been speculation until this afternoon or tomorrow.

I think that might be a little different.  Once the talk landed on him, it stayed there.

The DC rumors have changed multiple times.

Again, true but I'd say that the recent news is most likely coinciding with his nearing official hiring. We will see, I just hope this rumor to be false.

Me too.  He's not even a 4-3 guy, is he?

Nope, but I have alluded to the fact in the past that I think we could be an interesting 3-4 team I'm still not high on him.

Most teams kind of run elements of both or switch back and forth any more anyway, don't they?

I dont think there's really much of a difference anymore.

Outstanding. I’ve wanted Jack Del Rio as the Bengals’ defensive coordinator ever since Mike Zimmer left for Minnesota.

There is but it’s more of alignment for the defensive linemen who have a hand in the dirt.

It was also Furball who broke the Taylor news. Let's hope he's 2 for 2!

This almost makes me as happy as the Taylor news, been wanting Del Rio as our DC since Zim left as Psych said.

This guy will improve our LB play no question. He will know who to bring in as our LB coach too and right there this team will be improved immensely. Loving the news of today. Hope it keeps coming with the O-line coach, Martin is just the assistant OL coach so the main job is still open. Hoping for Sherman or Bill Callahan.

Took a break for some family time and to play with the dogs. Hope this is for real. JDR would be awesome and I’m stoked. Thought we lost him.

It could be worse so JDR would be a vet coach to stabilize things. I thought they would really push hard for Bill C for line coach. Damn.
