The defense lost this game though.

Probably because he had better timing and chemistry with his LSU WR’s. It’s clear as day his lack of reps with AJ and Ross in camp has been a factor.

LMAO 300 yds 3 TD in primetime and you’re blaming the QB? The defense gave up over 200 yds on the ground. You’re not winning many games like that.

Despite having the worst offensive line and defense in the NFL, Burrow had his team in position to win last week and if not for a BS reversal of Gio’s TD or Boyd’s drop could have easily won this game.  This without a preseason and his #1 receiver during the scrimmages.  His accuracy to guys with defenders draped all over him is the only reason this team had a chance in both games.

Bengals actually have the 25th defense in the NFL by yards per game, and 19th by points per game. (They were 15th/5th after Week 1.)

He is the 23rd ranked QB by completion % despite being 31st in YPA.

His short throws are accurate deep and medium throws not so much. this game wasnt as close as the score. Joe Burrow has been mediocre through 2 games. If he wasn't a rookie we should be looking for a replacement. Dalton would be getting killed for performances like this through 2 games.

The very big difference being Burrow has only played 2 games in his entire career thus far.  Nervous

The defense has given up 350+ yds rushing through 2 games. There is really no more that needs to be said.

Dalton would absolutely NOT be “getting killed” for a 316 yds 3 TD 0 INT performance in primetime.

300 on 62 passes. D has a goal line stand keeps us down 8 only for Burrow not to protect the football and give it right back to the Browns on the 1 yard line. we driving early in the game down 4 only for him to miss a snap for a 20 yard loss, 2 overthrow TD's to AJ. Burrow deserves blame as well.

Sure, put him about 37th on the list. We were only IN that game at the end because of him.

They have the 25th ranked defense in the NFL and they’ve played two terrible teams.

He’s a rookie QB with zero preseason snaps and zero scrimmage snaps with his #1 receiver who is past his prime who’s taking his first NFL snaps in how long? He’s also dealing with the worst offensive line in the NFL with the least experienced coaching staff and the most inept NfL owner/front office the past couple decades.

But please, carry on...

I would hope any starting QB could throw for 300 on 62 passes.

Yes but the offense could have done more. Failed to get 7 from the half yard line and the turnover right after a goal line stand. That's some brutal shit as well. ( More on the offensive line then Burrow.)

Burrow threw the ball 60 times so he should get over 300 yards. Don't get me wrong though he was clearly the best player out there tonight on either team.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

AJ has 100 yard day with 2TDs with accurate throws from Burrow. AJ isnt washed up.

Bengals D isn't the worst in the league as shown before and 185 rushing yards/game is still not the worst run defense in the league.

There is really no more that needs to be said.

How about the 3 TD’s (should have been 4 thanks Boyd) and 0 INT? Could “any QB” do that too?

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills up in here...

Just stop...how many rookie QBs have thrown 62 passes without an Int?

Burrow didn’t let the Brown offense walk right down the field and score a TD on consecutive runs when they know what’s coming. He did however march his team down the field late in his first two NFL games to do enough to get in the end zone.

It’s amazing someone could spend 5 years on a football message board and still have that he the case...
