According to what I read yesterday from Lou, if your name is Joe Burrow, you start attending all the defensive meetings. I imagine this will help Joe be even more brilliant in being able to dissect what defenses are doing and get into their mindsets.

I am starting to think that Volson is the guy.

He's REALLY flashed in a number of games this year, but has also had some turds. I remember Willie Anderson having a quote about offensive lineman..."development isn't linear".

I am also starting to believe that this offensive line isn't as big of a problem that we are all lead to believe. Yes, its been a small sample since Burrow was hurt, but they've played some of their best games when the Bengals are running the ball effectively, moving the pocket, doing more play action, going under center, etc. It's no coincidence that they played their best games against the 49ers and Jags (when they were doing all the things mentioned).

It's one of the things I'm going to be paying attention to the most going down the stretch. How they play under this "Browning" offense. I really do think the majority of their struggles is a result of Burrow wanting to be in spread 75% of the time and that "style" of play. Teams don't have to worry about any other element of our offense beating them.

I am putting my money on the Black and Orange.

By the way, we are still undefeated with the Black and White.

Would you still consider this season a "success," based on Burrow's injury, etc?

So i found a cool site that generates a % chance to make playoffs based off of our next 5 opponents

The good thing is this site lets you pick and choose which games we’ll win and lose and it gives a %.

So you can see our estimated % chance if we for example only beat Pittsburg and Cleveland




So brace for this guys


If we win out, the site gives us a 99% chance of making playoffs


If we beat everyone BUT the Chiefs we still have an 82% chance.

Just beating Pittsburg and Cleveland and flat out losing all the other games gives us a 10% chance.




So……

The only real chance is by winning 4 out of our last 5.

If we had Burrow I’d say this is doable. I’d say winning all 5 is doable with Burrow but 4/5 is gonna be tough. He benefitted from Jax having no tape on his tendencies. By the time we play Cleveland and Pittsburg they are gonna have weeks of tape on Jake and Jake is just gonna need to play well.

Browning is looking OK at QB, and Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Mixon with McPherson. Bengals have Colts, Vikings, Browns in THE JUNGLE and Steelers and Browns have their own quarterback injury problems. So Bengals still winning 10 games is not wishful thinking by a die hard Bengals fan like me. The Bengals who have went to back to back AFC Championships showed me something against Jacksonville. This Team has the Players and The Pride to Win more games this season. Chiefs are probably a loss, but rest of season are games Bengals could win.
