It's Friday before game 4 against Tennessee and no one posts a prediction thread? We slackin' around here.
I'm going to continue my trend of not predicting shit since it worked last week, but I want to hear what you guys think. NFL's Youtube GameDay Preview has almost everyone picking the Bengals to win, but what about us Bengals experts.
What're your predictions for the game this Sunday? Let's hear em.

Make your case for or against.
Perhaps not as good of a blocker as Sample and not as seasoned as Irv Smith, but based on what I’ve seen and our need to throw up the middle given the infinite cover 2 set that we will see from here on out, I believe he should get a permanent spot on the 53. I do realize we need to cut someone, but I have not seen something out of Irv Smith to suggest he is an upgrade.
I am also giving him a pass for falling on his face after getting tripped by the turf monster.

Coaches have dug deep into the playbook (actually I think they just added it) and busted out the Pistol. However the only real way this will work is if we had a fb or used a TE as a lead block.
They tried to create a new run fit (something they should have done back in July). I don't think they committed to it and I don't think Rams were caught off guard with the switch up, and it didn't seem to lead to anything that would make you think they should continue with it.
If Burrow is unable to go under center and they are trying to switch it up by adding the Pistol, they are going to have to commit to it and run successfully out of it if they want it to work. It didn't look like they were committed to it and thus it failed.
Will the Pistol work with no FB? Will it work consistently in the NFL? Do you guys think they should continue to develop the offense around it and see where it goes? Or throw it all out since having a RB that many yards away from the line of scrimmage isn't really ideal....
Thoughts?

Adams for Higgins? |

I usually don't post about wild speculation topics, but this idea is actually kind of interesting to at least think about:
'CINCINNATI — The Bengals trading for Davante Adams? Fanbuzz's Senior NFL insider Matt Lombardo listed Cincinnati as one of the six top destinations for the elite Raiders wide receiver.
Las Vegas is 1-2 this season and Adams has shown frustration with the team's start.
"Cincinnati might be a surprise to find on a list like this, especially given the long-term uncertainty surrounding Tee Higgins' future," Lombardo wrote. "The Bengals have a legitimate Super Bowl window as long as Joe Burrow is behind center and adding Adams could potentially widen it.
"The Bengals, even after making Burrow the highest-paid quarterback in league history, still have $12.16 million in cap space this season and $86.63 million in spending flexibility in 2024. So, there really aren't any financial hurdles to adding Adams to the fold. Moreover, it's difficult to imagine many secondaries being able to keep both Adams and Ja'Marr Chase under wraps. At least for the rest of this season, Chase, Adams, and Higgins would unquestionably be the most dynamic receiving corps in the league."
It could make the most sense to trade Higgins for Adams straight up as a way to raise the ceiling of the offense over the next couple of seasons while shortening the length of that second big receiver contract.
Higgins could command close to $28 million per year (Adams' average salary) on his new deal if he turns around a slow start to the 2023 season.'

These are three must win games IMO.
@ Titans
@ Cardinals
Seahawks
BYE
No game in the NFL is a gimme, but the Bengals should be favored marginally in all 3 of these games. If we win all 3 and Burrow doesn't have a set back before the bye, I feel REALLY good going into the second half of the season at 4-2.
Time to start stacking some wins.

As a Michigan fan I'm loving the fact that these two are doing well. Dax absolutely balled out yesterday and DJ Turner gave up 0 yards in 40% of the snaps he played
