Updated after Monday Night:
- If Denver beats SD then we are the #3 seed regardless of the result against the Ravens (Head to Head tiebreaker favours Denver)
- If Denver loses to SD and we beat the Ravens then we are the #2 seed (We would have the better record: 12-4 vs 11-5)
- If Denver loses to SD and we lose to the Ravens but the Chiefs beat Oakland then we are the #2 seed
- If Denver loses to SD and we lose to the Ravens and the Chiefs lose to Oakland then we are the #3 seed
The #1 and #4 seeds are impossible for us to get.

Perhaps bigger than NE at risk of losing #1 after making an idiotic kick first choice after winning the OT coin-flip, is Pittsburgh does not currently have a playoff spot.

SMART MOVE BY MARVIN |

I don't think Marvin is getting enough praise for making a smart move mid-way into the season. While most teams give very little Reps to their backup QBs during the week of practice especially in the middle of the season, Marvin started giving AJ more reps in practice after seeing the rash of injuries to QBs... I know AJ commented on how this helped him be a bit more ready when he has to go in as a starter...
Amazing to think that in the mist of Dalton's best season ever, that he actually increased the reps for AJ the backup...
Good job Marvin, lets hope that smart coaching decision helps out Monday night and rest of season.

Distraction in Denver. To the Bengals' benefit? |

Welp, according to Yahoo and PFT, there's quite a bombshell report about Peyton Manning and HGH being shipped to his wife making the rounds. If this hold truth, then it's a blemish on one of America's golden boys and a major media circus headed to Denver this weekend.
Could this be a positive thing for an opposing team like the Bengals coming into town for a game with massive postseason implications? Will Denver be distracted by this?
Gonna be an interesting weekend.

Interesting read...playoff trees charting the path to the playoffs for every NFL team..
http://nyti.ms/1OeObQu
With 31 games remaining in the season, there are two billion ways the season could end. Which of those outcomes are best for your team? It’s questions like these that led us to build our N.F.L. simulator, to let you explore which games matter the most for your team’s playoff chances.
But with just two weeks left, the remaining possibilities have winnowed to a small enough number that we can start to list them exhaustively, depicting each team’s possible paths as the branches of a tree. We have listed the games from left to right in order of their importance in determining whether each team makes the playoffs or — if it has already clinched — the team’s playoff seed.
The charts below list the full range of outcomes for teams that are in or have a shot at the playoffs. Some teams’ trees are relatively tidy, while others’ – like the Falcons’ – are wildly convuluted. But we think they’re both helpful and fun. Note: We did not include ties, which exponentially increase the chart’s complexity, because teams rarely tie.

McCarron gets a taste of Play-Off action BEFORE play-offs |

a Prime Time Night Game in always tough Denver against play-off team Broncos.....at San Francisco, that game flew under the radar in the sports world....This game is PRIME TIME......and it will give McCarron a chance to get a game under his belt under Play-Off Conditions. ....I've only been hoping they coach him up in these 3 starts to get him ready to win in the play-offs....He may not win this game, I hope he does, but it is a good opportunity to let him play in PRIME TIME and get him coached up for a play-off win....This game will be much tougher and at times he may have glazed look like a deer in a cars headlights, but he needs this experience to get ready for the play-offs. .....This Prime Time game is a lot to ask in just his 2nd start, but a play-off win in his 4th start is a lot to ask also....so this game is a good thing and a chance to give him a taste of QB in the NFL on National TV....say it Howard, " on Monday Night Football ". .......Win or lose, he gains much needed experience from this game.....
Now the worst case scenario is he gets injured before play-offs also....So block line, block.....but he has to play and pass or he won't be worth 2 cents to us in play-offs....so let him go all out, and block line, block.
