All week on NFL radio, and all morning on the pre game shows, the announcers keep saying this is a statement game, and they Bengals need to show they can beat Super Bowl caliber teams to be considered legit. Did these people forget or just not know the Bengals have beaten the Patriots, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Denver... all the perennial play off teams have been beaten by the Bengals in the regular season. Beating the Seahawks, oh yeah, they've done that too...in Seattle. I just don't get this line of babble.....

Expect greatness from Andy Dalton |

In the first 4 years, I think many of us expected Dalton to fail or perform poorly at some point (waiting for it), and mentally throw away his "good games" in our image of him.
I think it has flipped. We will expect greatness from Andy Dalton - and his "bad games" will be considered more of a blip than the norm.
Every QB has bad games now and then, but I think Andy has turned the corner. I'm not waiting to see how he performs under further pressure, night lights, and the post-season. He is no longer to be considered a weak link on the team.

Besides a win Sunday, what do you want to see?
I want to see the D-Line dominate and record 7 sacks
I want to see AJ Green catch 10 balls for 200+ yards and 2 scores
I want to see Jeremy Hill rush for over 100 yards
I want to see 3 INT's and 1 returned for a score
I want to see total domination by the Bengals in every way possible.
This is a "Statement" game, one that says we are the Bengals and we are coming for YOU!

Was today at 1:40 on CBS sports radio
Here is a synopsis
1 4 and 0 offense clicking, does this game feel bigger?
t People say it is but were just trying to prepare like we always do.
2 whats it like know the coaches are confident in your versatility
t its fun. it was the same in college. makes it hard for d
3 asked about elbow injury and rehab,
t it was tough to watch when things weren't going well, fun to watch when we were winning
4 Whats the rehab like? I heard you couldn't cut steak?
t couldn't bend elbow to eat, it was tough. Then small things like bend elbow then lift a 2lb weight. it was a long process
5 2 lb weight? how did that feel
t discouraging, sucked to not touch a weight for 2 or 3 months. it was slow but strength is coming back
6 how good did it feel first game to play so well?
t great, lots of expectations on where i was drafted so year 3 was good to start fast.
7 Marvin said you make things go on offense
t it great to hear him say that, i don't try to do anything spectacular. I just execute the plays Hue calls.
8 Andy, looks like he is more relaxed and comfortable
t he's stepped up more as a leader on and off the field. every year he has looked a little bit better. we expect him to play like this
9 week three non touchdown, what was your reaction?
t I though I scored, surprised it wasn't a TD. I'm still confused
10 hue still goes to sleep knowing it was a touchdown
t im trying to score but they just told me to stand up with the ball after falling down with a catch. I'll hand it to Marvin next TD
11 What are thoughts on fantasy football?
t feels good to be putting up pts
12 people bitched about you getting hurt last year
t I laughed it off. who cares?
13 how many guys in the locker room play fantasy
t a couple guys talk about it, some trainers do trainers too.

Former Bengals during pregame |

I'm new to this board, hoping I'm posting this question in the right place. I'm going to be at the Seattle game and since it's my first game I've attended in a really long time I'm wondering if there's former Bengals players signing autographs before the game? I heard a rumor that it happens on the club level? I would really like to get Ickey's autograph and meet him if he's there but I don't have club level tickets.
