I think this kid has a chance to make the final 53 or at least the PS. He was a walk-on at Nebraska who ended up starting his senior season, mostly at Mike. I know it's highlight tape, but he looks like he's got great instincts, even though he's not an underwear olympic star.
Any Husker fans know anything more about him?

Bengals beat writer, Jim Owczarski (The Enquirer & Cincinnati.com) has agreed to do a thread, in which members can post questions for him to answer.
Jim is a very busy guy, so he may not be able to answer each and every question posed to him. So, make sure your questions are good ones.
Also, absolutely no trolling or disrespectful comments will be tolerated. They will be deleted. Jim is nice enough to do this for the board, so let's make this thread a good, respectful and informative one!

Who do you guys think will be our breakout star for this upcoming season that isn't a rookie? For me its going to be Darqueze Dennard even though I haven't seen him play a whole lot I think he ends up having a great season this year. I predict he overtakes Leon in the slot and he ends up leading the team in interceptions with 5 this season.

The new board went live on May 11th, and one month later...things seem to be going very well.
I just wanted to take a minute to say a big THANK YOU to everyone.
WhoDeyWho joined very early and became our webmaster, and has done a great job! Benton, Bengal Dude, Shake, Eoxyod and Belsnickel all stepped up to give us an admin/mod staff, and have done one helluva job.
But, even more important was all of the members that came over, even before the old board closed...in order to re-form the community here, and make sure that it lived on and stayed together. What was funny, and very cool...was that when I announced the board was up and could be viewed on the 11th, I asked that people not start posting until the next day, because I was still setting things up. But...many of the one's who signed up that first day, said "screw that" and immediately jumped in and went to work...making threads, posting, and helping each other figure out the features and so forth!
So again, just want to say thanks and let you know I appreciates the efforts of EVERYONE in making this board a reality.
Thanks, BJ

One Last Free Agent? (Miller) |

Do we still have the roster space and money to pick up some late minute free agents?
I wouldn't be against bringing in a veteran tight end (other than Gresham) like Zach Miller.
Z. Miller has been an above average TE in the league the past few years. Reliable, trustworthy, and fairly durable I believe.
What do you guys think about brining in a veteran TE, or are there any other last minute FA's worth taking a look at?

What Andy is doing to cut down turnovers. |

Interceptions have been the bane of Andy Dalton's entire career.
Specifically, it's the inconsistency, borne out of a random spates of picked-off passes, that has the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback viewed as one of the NFL's more untrustworthy players. Faith in his abilities has been hard to come by because few know what to expect from him week to week.
He wants that to change this year.
Dalton's promise this offseason: to be a more reliable passer.
"Obviously you don't want to turn the ball over. You can't turn the ball over if you want to win games," he said. "I understand that and I know I've got to do a better job of that."
Dalton has 99 career touchdowns to 66 interceptions. His 1.5 touchdown-to-interception ratio since 2011 is the 10th-worst among qualifying quarterbacks during that time span. That means 20 quarterbacks, including Jay Cutler, Ryan Tannehill and Robert Griffin III have done a better job across that stretch, percentage-wise, completing touchdowns instead of tossing interceptions.
Perhaps the worst thing about Dalton's interceptions is that he's been picked off three or more times in seven career games. Sure, 12 times he has thrown three or more touchdowns in a game, but therein lies the inconsistency issue.
So what has Dalton been doing during organized team activities to make his turnover issue a problem of the past?
He's working on saying "Uncle."
