question about post 6/1 cuts |

If someone was cut today with a post 6/1 designation, can no one sign that guy until June 1st, or does it just mean that the team doing the cutting gets the salary cap benefit as if the cut happened after June 1st, but the player is available to sign now?

Nearly $70 million under the Cap has produced this underwhelming free agency period? |

I'm confused by what's going on in the front office.
Ridley still sitting out there. You can safely move on from Higgins with a much cheaper option and pretty similar production.
The Mixon for Moss move is simply ridiculous. For that little savings? Good luck having Moss stay healthy. I'm assuming Chase Brown is going to get a healthy bulk of the work. Mixon was a workhorse, one of the emotional leaders of this team and very dependable and consistent.

Bengals are in dire straits right now…. If they don’t resign dj reader which is looking increasing unlikely if they let him get on that plane to Detroit, we have really no starting level DT options. Bj hill is decent, but who outside of him? gotta resign dj reader, and if they don’t I believe they resign Jonah and double dip at DT in draft. We can’t afford to lose reader though. That deal needs to happen.
Joe goodberry thoughts below
How in reading the DJ Reader situation:
The Bengals aren't offering as good of a contract as the Detroit Lions are.
Reader is heading to Detroit for a visit because they want to see how his recovery looks.
If everything looks right and on track, DJ Reader will accept the contract and be a Detroit Lion.
The Bengals have a chance to match/exceed that offer before Thursday, but I get the feeling that they have already decided and given their final offer and it is not good enough.
We move onto other defensive tackles now.

I'm skeptical. Eifert posted it on his Twitter.
Could we make this work?
Rumor seems to be: Tee and 2 1st for Jefferson.
The Jefferson and Chase would need extensions over $30 million each.
Could this work?

Well so far nothing with both sides of the ball in FA and Ravens just added Henry and KC resigned Jones.. two of our main rivals in AFC, I thought we would at least add a DT in FA or possible OT.. hope we add one soon and draft both sides of the line early...
