Many including me feel we need a vet safety |

I did not realize it, but 29 year old former 1st round pick Jamal Adams is a free agent. He does have a lot of baggage, he was cut by not 1 but 3 teams in 2024. Seattle, then picked up by Titans, cut and picked up by Lions and cut before end of 2024.
He says he is healthy and wants to unit with the Jets (my guess he wants a job). He is not even listed as a FA on Spotract, so my guess a non guaranteed vet minimum contract may be in his future.
He should be a very cheap option and no risk to bring him in to compete in July. Should we consider it? I believe Blackman is still available, a more expensive option but may be coming off injury. Or should we just stay pat at safety and pray Stone and Battle can get much better?

Bold Predictions for the 2025 Season |

Alright, the schedule has been officially released. We know who we play and when. I feel like now is the time to go on the record and make those predictions of anything and everything you honestly believe will happen this upcoming season. All I ask is that your prediction be realistic and what you actually think will happen.
My plan (which I'll probably forget after I hit "Post") is to revisit this thread periodically and acknowledge those whose predictions either came true or came dang close. I'll probably also "highlight" those whose predictions were the exact opposite of what happened (probably pointing and laughing like Nelson from the Simpsons).
That said, let me begin!
Boldest prediction: Trey Hendrickson will be on the field playing for the Bengals in Week 1 on a newly signed extension that will have been signed 2 days before the game.
Burrow's stats will not be as voluminous as last year due to our running game actually being decent and Zac calling more running plays, especially late in games we have the lead. Chase and Brooks will end the year being the best 1-2 punch at running back we've had in quite a few seasons.
No more slow starts as the Bengals roll to 4-0 to start the season before losing to the Lions.
Finally, the Bengals will go 14-3. I predict the Lions to beat us and Baltimore sweeping us.
Now, what do you guys have as your bold predictions?
EDIT: forgot one: Shemar Stewart will have more sacks this season than his entire collegiate career combined.

Chase Is The #1 Ranked Player In Fantasy! |

Mods, I apologize if this should be in the fantasy football forum, but it's about the outlook on Chase's season, so I figured that it fits here.
Ja'marr is ranked as the top overall player this season in DraftShark's rankings, which I guess it isn't that big of a surprise that he's ranked as the top receiver given that he won the Triple Crown, but to be ranked as the top overall player is pretty cool, especially since Lamb is the only other receiver in the top five.
You have to imagine that, with an improved offensive line, he and Burrow could put up some very big numbers.
Higgins is ranked 19th overall and the 11th best receiver.
Burrow is the 5th ranked quarterback and in the top tier.
Chase Brown is the 14th ranked running back.
Gesicki is the 22nd ranked tight end.
McPhearson's the 4th ranked kicker.
It doesn't have team defense yet but Trey is ranked as the 7th best defensive lineman.
It's the offseason and there's not a lot going on, but those are promising rankings!

Trey Hendrickson Update |

Trey Hendrickson statement today to ESPN: “No communication has taken place between my camp and the organization post draft. The offers prior to the draft did not reflect the vision we shared and were promised last offseason if I continued to play at a high level. Coaches are aware of these past conversations. Rather than using collaboration to get us to a point to bring me home to the team, THEY are no longer communicating. I have been eagerly awaiting a resolution of this situation, but that’s hard to do when there is no discussion and an evident lack of interest in reaching mutual goals.”

Seth McLaughlin C Ohio State |

Seth McLaughlin is an undrafted center out of Ohio State, but I think most draft projections had him going around round five, even with only playing in ten games and rupturing his achilles in November.
Even with his injury, he still won the Rimington award as the nation's top center.
I think there were only four or five centers taken, so it might not be a bad thing that he wasn't drafted, but rather just a lack of demand.
Will he make the team?
Will he push Karras?
Karras was the 21st ranked center last season, so we could use an upgrade, but will Seth be an upgrade?

Is Shemar holding out? |

Seeing a lot of news stories following Shemar's decision to not yet sign his contract and hold out from hitting the field. What's the buzz on the ground in the US about this? Something to be concerned about or just typical off-season hysteria.
