So looking at the title of this thread the question is will Chase practice now? Has he or anyone verified for sure that he is planning on playing in week 1?

Doesn’t matter if you side with Chase or the team you know the Bengals have most of the leverage. He has to play or get fined/not paid unless he comes up with some phantom injury. I don’t think he would do that but I do worry that he will get hurt without any real practice or training camp. Chase works out hard but running routes/competing against other guys, even in practice, is just different.

Just waiting to see what his end game is and if he’s going to participate and be ready to go vs NE.

It's a potential debate point, but Burrow hasn't been injured by a hit given up by the LT to our knowledge.

His rookie year, MJ gave up a hit from LG that shredded his knee.

The calf was from non-contact injury.

The wrist was Clowney off of Jonah at RT.

It's more likely than not he sustains the same injuries, with or without Sewell.

The announcers of last night's game sure made it seem like Chase was not playing until he got a new contract. I don't know if they had more information than anyone else, but this was the first I really began to fear Chase may not play this year unless he gets a new contract.

Good. They're paying him 72 million. We have Ted one more year then Lee is here on his rookie contract. I expect big things from Lee watching him play now.

There have been twelve (12) 1,000 yard seasons -4%

Sunday will be the day to keep an eye on as a return to practice. 2 weeks to get into football shape and begin practicing. If he is still not practicing then it's time to contact Houston and let them know we have a problem.

I don't know if it's an indicator of the city's feelings or not, but every article about Chase I see posted on Social Media has hundreds of comments, and the vast majority of people are saying pay Tee and trade Chase. He is destroying his brand it would appear. He's going to be one sad cookie if that happens and he has to watch Burrow and Higgins win without him.

Didn't tee demand a trade before this?  I guess he's back in the good graces by default.

Tee was here first and is very popular
He didn’t start holding out long before his contract was expired
Fans are just weary with all the contract BS in general and Chase is the straw that broke the backs of many camels

I’m rather to’d at Chase. Obviously I’d much prefer a resolution that brings him back ASAP, but I’m not compelled in any way to take his side in the matter.

But then Tee signed the franchise tender in mid-June and showed up to camp when he could have waited until the end of camp to sign and not lose money. And he's been out there every day working his ass off. I wouldn't say he demanded a trade, because he signed and showed up. More like asked for a trade.

I'm not saying it's exactly the same, just that we seem to have convinced ourselves ours is a franchise that doesn't employ football mercenaries like everyone else. 

The Burrow effect has filled out heads with visions of instant franchise wide competence and allegiance.
