Tee’s market price

We'd never do an In-Conference Trade like that. I'd be all for it, as I really like Myles.

How so, for not needing a Tee replacement?

Also which guards are you going to spend big money on? Trey smith ok pass  blocker with an history of Blood clots? Tevon Jenkins who has missed more games than Tee Higgins in his career? James Daniels  who just tore his Achilles? So again, Who are you spending big money on at guard position?

Defensively who are you spending that money on that would be equivalent to Tee? Chase young who's never had a 10 sack season? Milton Williams  or Osa Odighizuwa(who I want on this team but at the expense of Tee? I'm not sure about tbat). Zac Baun?  That would be a lot for a 29 year old 1 hit wonder though! Wouldn't?

The Browns are on the hook for almost 15 million if they trade him post June 1st.  I don't know if a trade is going to happen.  The Browns are at this point in the red 30 million as far as cap space for the 2025 season

Plus the Bengals would have to tag Higgins before they can do a tag and trade.  In my opinion I don't think the Browns, in yet another rebuild with their dire cap situation and once again terrible QB issues would take on Higgin's pricey contract. But who knows that team hasn't exactly been known to make good decisions.  Heck they may be working out details to try and trade for Justin Tucker and give him the largest fully guaranteed contract for a kicker ever as we speak.   Tongue Ninja

On the other hand I think the Browns will be drafting a QB with the 2nd overall pick.  So maybe they would be willing to take on a large WR contract to give that QB a weapon.

Why not?  He’d be a very good complement to chase.  I’m not saying he’s a direct replacement talent wise.  You don’t think having burrow throwing him the ball would help improve those numbers?  You don’t think using the savings between the the two contracts to bring in another starter elsewhere wouldn’t help the team?

You don't need 2 top tier WR's to win in this league LOOK AROUND !!!

The eagles are in the Super Bowl with two elite Wrs in Devonta Smith and AJ Brown. P!us they have four lineman with  elite money + a RB+  a TE being paid top money.

I would tag and trade Tee to the browns for Garrett in a heart beat. I’d also trade a 1st for Garret. And then we could tag and trade Tee else where if the browns didn’t want him.

No I do not think he would put up similar numbers to Tee here.

They are not in the SB because of their two wide receivers lol

Saquan and their defense is more responsible.

Personally, I’d like Tee back, but if they decide to go in a different direction and actually spend that money smartly elsewhere I’d be on board with that, too. There’s a case to be made for both, imo.

And just like that debate, there is no "wrong" answer, just a preferred one.

If he dominates regardless here or elsewhere 1/2 the population will do the "I told you so". If he fails the other 1/2 will.

My hope is we can retain Tee, he dominates, get a middle-of-the-road D, a kicker that can make FGs, and will all the Super Bowlz.

if we don't Oh well, I'm still vertical.

why wouldn't we, tee would get nothing done on the browns, we struggle against them anyway, good thing they struggle against every other team in the league. and we would get myles Garrett for that nonsense lol

Feels like we might demand more from our QB then most if not all other teams. In terms of being a pocket passer and distributing the ball i know several QBs use they're legs quite a bit as a big part of the offense.

The defense probably won't get all the resources it could by retaining Tee. But if we can improve the guard position while keeping Tee any improvement to the defense will make a huge difference.

I am not sure you get the point of my post.  T is better, I’m not questioning that.  No where did I say he would put up similar numbers to T.  But he doesn’t have to to be an effective number wr 2 in this offense.  If you don’t think he would put up better numbers in this bengals offense than he has in the giants offense than I can’t help you.

I would take Slayton and another quality starter over T.  You are welcome to your opinion.

I do find it interesting you're arguing against Trey Smith because of a medical condition that hasn't caused him to miss any games in the NFL (he has missed just 1 game in 4 years and it was from a pec injury)... while being in favor of Tee, who has had a hamstring injury for 6 straight years, and an ankle injury in 3 of the last 4 years. We could sign Smith someone like Drew Dalman at C, and still come out ahead money-wise over Tee.

On defense...
-Josh Sweat. Good against the run, good rushing the passer, sure tackler, hasn't missed more than a single game in a season in four years, would be a fine pairing with Hendrickson over the next 3 years.
-Justin Reid is set to be a FA, and he'd be a hell of an upgrade over Stone.
-Byron Murphy was very good last year and would keep us from needing to use a pick in the first two days on CB.
...and again, we could probably get 2 of those 3 for the same price as Tee.

Not really against signing Smith but he does have a significant medical red flag against him just like Tee which you can't argue against. He's also a great run blocker but just a decent pass blocker. + the Bengals will never pay a guard big time money.

Secondly, we can sign all of those defensive guys along with re-signing  Tee

Devonta Smith is not an elite WR he's a good WR
