Correct, the video wasn't him muscling Strickland around the cage it was a 300 pound guy changing levels with great flexibility and out pacing the smaller guy. We have for years lacked great athletes at OL so I am excited to get one.

I coached wrestling for 10 years, wrestled in college, have all the hardware and awards...what you see here is impressive for someone that size even looking at it through the lens of just a trained wrestler of that size moving like that.

And the ones who were supposed to be lighter, more athletic types ended up getting bullied a lot too.
(Adeniji and Mike Jordan specifically stand out in my mind).

Bengals have been mostly whiffing on OL (especially IOL) in the draft since Boling/Zeitler.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

did not see them on tape in a ring, normally to be a very good IOL you need a combo of both athletic and a bit of a brawler,, seems like Dylan might be  fitting that bill since most scouts/analysis talked about his physical side but did not focus on his athletic side... many think when you are a heavyweight in wrestling, you just are a brawler but to actually be good and a state champ you need to be athletic also.

Nice, saw the same thing in that vid. Agree, we needed athleticism on the OL terribly bad. With Mims and now Fairchild we just might
have some good athleticism for once.

As someone who counted his fair share of gymnasium lights, I got you both beat. This still makes me think I could get on the mat

Pretty good video... if he's that agile, put him at DE. I keep hearing a lot about him on these threads... I look forward to seeing his magic on the field.

Yes, I first started wrestling for the conditioning only, I'd never wrestled prior. Freshman and sophomore years apparently the only people I were better than was the other kids in my school in my weight class. I did get better.

I can tell this guy is a glass eater

"anytime you want to meet for lunch and or drinks..or both..my treat  ..we can compare degrees . In addition to getting an MBA/MHA from Xavier I also obtained an Masters in Public Health from  the Chan School of Public Health ( Harvard) and I doubt very seriously that your educational background  can match that.." - ERIC1
