So have at it FO haters, start your peronal attacks...............again as moderators seem to be in the majority with you so will allow those attacks

Either he thinks he deserves more money than teams are offering, he is not showing well in work outs or he is not impressive in interviews. He will find a home, but maybe not the dollars he is holding out for right now.

Where is he off to next?

Despite my harping on the need for a real TE1, if we are willing to spend on only one more FA spot, I'd choose RG (Hernandez, Risner, Scherff) over Fant.

We did do some stuff at 3T with Bryan & Agim. Plus I am becoming more & more convinced we'll see Stewart & Sample (plus possibly Murphy & Ossai) inside a lot on passing downs. That will be our pass rushing DT solution this year, along with hoping Jenkins & Jackson level up.

That leaves RG, and safety depth as the spots that scare me most. Though OL depth is close. The lack of a versatile TE doesn't scare me, but it sure would be nice to have one.

This one Im surprised about. It felt like he would be inline as a high volume target because he plays the game similar to Jonnu Smith who the Dolphins just lost this off-season to Pittsburgh (which I hate).

He may not be the screen blocker they want and don't want to pay him. Tough finding decent sized contracts in July/August.

Miami is also tight on cap space. Have 12.3 million so minus 3 million for PS and 4 million for injuries, only have 5.3 million.

Sounds like Fant wants to kick more tires, He was cut so 1 team. He visited 3 teams so still has 28 left. Tongue

Saints had 2 TEs get injured at practice today while there is no word on how serious this could drive up the price for Fant

Saints would actually need cap space in order to drive up any price for Fant.

Plus are you sure Fant would even want to go there? When it looks like Spencer Rattler is about to win your QB "competition" it's time to think about 2026. Lol

Plus if you're talking Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau they weren't injured at practice today, they're still recovering from last year's injuries.

A new home for the ex-#Broncos first rounder.

Saw it on Adam Schefter’s IG. It’s damn near official

What did i tell yall? If no one is offering multiple years then we are the next best thing for a journeyman TE.

He is 100% gonna play cause we like our 12 personnel and he’s likely
Gonna get around 4-6 TDs and look really good and playing with Butrow for 1 year TEs has been a recipe for getting a 3 year deal the next year.

As a previous poster here said Irv Smith is the only recent TE not to get a 3 year deal offer after leaving us.

Does this make put TE room one of the better ones in the NFL? Going from an (arguable) weakness to a strength?

I really like how this frees us up to move Mike G all around the (Slot/Outside) for the size advantage while still have a capable catch and run option attached to the line.

Bengals FO continues to build a winning roster with Fant addition. Nice job FO. Now one OG vet please and get Trey extended to cap a great off season by the FO.
