There is a very, very small number of people on here that bash just to bash. I doubt the reason they do it is because it's what they live for.
The vast majority of others that speak ill of the FO have MANY MANY years of evidence to back up their bashing, so no, your "no to little facts exist" does not apply to the vast majority of people that speak out about the FO. I can't help it that there's a segment here who can't see clear, concise evidence of decades of shitty front office shenanigans. That's a you and them thing. Not a me and other "bashers" thing.
This front office has a storied history of being absolute turds when it comes to spending money and signing players and no amount of putting your fingers in your ears and "nah nah nah"ing loudly will erase that.

Teams do not bring in players just to "kick the tires" and "work" them out, without interest in signing them. The "tire kicking" is done before the visit, usually with the player's agent. With a vet like Fant without history of serious injuries and 6 years of film, there would not be workouts either.
During the visit, the player may or may not take a Medical (contracts pending physical are not uncommon). They do meet with coaches, do a facility tour, do some film and meet with some players. Then get down to discussion with the GM. If the offer makes sense, then the agent gets involved (that depends on whether the agent visits along with the player or remotely). Players who visit without their reps, get prepped with numbers in advance by their agents.

If we disagree, that is fine. But a player visit is serious business. Unless there is a glaring issue such as a physical or mental/background find, numbers are discussed (low ball or not).

Leaving without being signed is exactly what i would have expected, being his first visit. Only thing that would have changed that is a team makes an offer that is more than he had expected.

Agreed, he'll look at all of the situations at his disposal and then make a decision of which one to pursue. Obviously a chance to be on a team with a shot has a role in that decision making process. Coming to the Bengals he should know that he'll be a role player for an offensive juggernaut. Now, will the allure of more money from a shitty team take precedence?
All I know is that I'm rooting for him to become a Bengal. I liked what I saw from the Offense in 12 personnel last season.

He was cut so he should looking for a multi-year deal rather than a 1 yr. deal to rehabilitate his value. The Bengals have Gesicki, Sample, and All all under contract through 2026. He would have been part of a 3-headed TE room here, but he was the leading receiving TE in Seattle and probably believes he can be that again somewhere else. For him the Bengals are a good but not great situation. And we all know he wasn't offered top dollar.
