It's just bizarre. They get swept by bad teams and play the best right down to the wire. I know I was just hoping to avoid getting swept by the Yankees. Now they're going for the sweep, crazy.

Lets just hope they can dominate on this 10 game home stand going into the break, for a change.

It would be incredible to be able to say the Reds swept a series from both the Dodgers and Yankees in the same season.

Watching one of the strangest 0-0 games I've seen in awhile.

Jake Irvin of the Nats just finished the 8th inning on 95 pitches and Jose Quintana of the Mets, who went 7 innings, have both been hit real hard, but it's all line drives right to people or flyballs on the warning track. Very little soft contact, most of the contact being done is 'barrelled' up.

And Winker just his a solo shot in the bottom of the 8th off of a reliever. This game may finish in under 2 hours. That's a soccer match.

Edited: Wow. Derek Law comes in as the closer of a 1-0 ballgame. He gets the save in a 1 hour 59 minute game.

I was just about to say that this might be their worst defensive outfield this season when Benson makes the best defensive play that I've seen from him.

St Louis @ Pittsburgh going to extra innings. If the Reds hold off the Yankees, they'll either be in third as they leapfrog Pittsburgh, or they stay in 4th if Pittsburgh wins, but pull within 2.5 of the Cardinals who holds the last wild card spot.
