All 3 of their best players after Burrow (Chase, Trey, Tee) have either asked for a trade, or done a hold-in at this point. It’s just business. I’m sure Chiefs fans forgave Chris Jones awful quick after that whole situation. And most of ours will too with these guys.

As I rather cleverly said before we drafted him, he's the WheelBurrow...the instrument designed to drag dead weight from place to place.  I'm somewhat joking about the severity of it, but ain't no denying that's what he's doing.

Not sure I'd pay Chase 40 million a year. I'd rather develop the young WRs we have and sign elite DEs. The Chiefs are running the show with Mahomes, Kelce and a bunch of average/mediocre WRs.

The bengals don’t have a kelce, or Chris jones. And hard to put burrow in the same group as mahomes.

If you gave the bengals an All time great at tight end and DT, I’m sure the bengals could manage (maybe).

It’s not so black and white.

Incorrect. He played 4 full seasons and signed in HIS 5TH season. NFL season resets in march, he signed after that.

It's close not if you factor in age but even at present I would take Bengals Big 3 over Chiefs big 3. Chase Tre Burrow over Mahomes Kelce CJ

Right... my bad!! I was thinking since the 5th season hadn't started, it is like his 4th, but you are technically correct!

I want to keep Chase and think he deserves to get paid but demanding 40 million per year is crazy when the best WR in football just signed for 35 million per year.  This claim that Chase isnt getting paid as much as Jefferson if you divert the additional money to years where Chase is already under contract is ridiculous.  Chase was already making more money than Jefferson on their rookie contracts but then Chase wants a big raise after just 3 years while Jefferson played 4?  Its not close to being comparable.  Chase would be making more money on their rookie contracts plus he would be making more on the extension.  In no way would he be making less than Jefferson

If you want to add money to rookie year contracts like some people want to do for Chase as a justification for average paid per year, let's take a look it at the whole picture.   Jefferson signed a 4 year rookie contract for ~13.123m + his 5th year option at 19.743m + the 4 year 140 million extension.  If I have done my math correct this would be roughly 172.86 million. Chase by comparison signed a 4 year rookie contract for 25.96m + his 5th year option 21.82m + 4 year 160million extension demand.  This equals roughly 207.78 million over the same number of years as Jefferson.  Chase is not getting paid less than Jefferson, in fact he would be paid significantly more over the same number of years.

I'm not upset with Chase.  I'm upset with the Bengals.   He is a totally rare receiver and integral to our being successful.  I'm not saying he's making it easy, but you just make it happen.

You're not going to find receivers like Chase easily.  He's a top five guy.   I know you have to manage your cap and you want as much money in escrow as possible.

But you win with pro bowl players.   And he will need at least two weeks to get in football shape and he has missed really important reps.

I don't know anything specific, but my guess is they are stuck on guaranteed money or the length of the contract or both.   Pick one and give it to him, pay him and get him the dickens into camp.

The idea that one is going to out last the other is stupid thinking.   By now it's clear what he wants.   Stop dicking around and get it done.   They might have already had Bates, Tee and Chase signed and ready to go.

Chase you have to have.   And it appears that he wants to sign.  Sign him at cheaper dollars and get him up and running.

I'm all for signing him long-term at fair market value but missing those reps is squarely on him.

He doesn't need reps with JB. They have about 5 years worth of reps together. The other guys need reps, but JC and Tee don't really need them.

He is destroying his brand it would appear. He's going to be one sad cookie if that happens and he has to watch Burrow and Higgins win without him.

What those people don't seem to realize,or know.Is that Higgin's agent has said,he wants $30 million a year. So,for me,that kind of money,is better spent on Chase.

No, Tee did not demand a trade. He asked that if they were not going to give him a contract, to trade him. He wants to be here and made that plain in his statement. And, he has not missed a practice.
