It was a simple question, does anyone know if they have a prior relationship or not. Take a freaking xanax FFS.

Is it odd that we haven't scheduled one single interview for OL Coach yet?
Everything in this post is my fault.

Could be waiting on someone from a staff in the playoffs, or even the CFP, otherwise it could be a little odd.

I wish we would get some news about hiring a real GM and expanding the scouting department at the least.  It all starts at the top.  No accountability.

Kind of insane that no one really knows who the real GM is on a pro nfl football team.  Only speculation and an 89 year old with 30+ years of failure with the GM title.

I will get excited and start having some faith when the FO takes some accountability and does some real restructuring.  Otherwise it's just the same old BS decade after decade after decade.  Even with Burrow, Chase, Higgins we don't make the playoffs last 2 years.  Just pathetic.

I have to watch Allen and the Bills with all my Bills friends win their division for the 5th straight freakin' year and win another playoff game yesterday.  6 playoff wins for Allen now.

Hopefully next year won't be the year we finally get Burrow killed.

one would think the Bengals administrative staff would consult with fans and message Board members  before , during and after the course of interviewing potential candidates..Bills division is absolutely weak since Belechick lost Brady and then moved on

There are fans on here who would probably do a better job in all honesty, so ya, maybe they should.   lol.

So you think our FO is great, modernized and has an awesome scouting dept.  A winning culture starts at the top.  They couldn't even get the Chase deal done.  How many millions will they lose because of it that could have went to other players?

Maybe I am wrong and secretly they are the best FO in the league.

Who is the "real" GM?  Who is actually running the Bengals? No one even knows.  It's all assumptions.  That's insane.  If the Bengals were a legit, normal business they would have been out of business decades ago.

Watching the playoffs yesterday and listening to how at least 2 teams brought in new GM's and they are turning things around.

Chase will likely not get that much more, all things considered. Prob 36-38m AAV.

If he gets a million or 2 more, that's a million or 2 that could have been used for other players.  Not to mention it was just a horrible look not getting the deal done and possibly accounted for part of the slow start vs the Pats.

Can’t disagree here. But really it all starts with the drafting and developing of players.

I completely agree!!  And that starts with the FO putting together a competent scouting department.

I have no idea, honestly it shouldn't matter. People meet new people all the time and just because you may or may not know a person
shouldn't mean they are not an option. Eberflus has a good resume' having a good 4-3 Defense in the NFL which is exactly what we need
here. As you say Matt should jump at the opportunity to be DC on the Burrow lead Bengals.

If we have a decent Defense we will be right back to top contenders for the Super Bowl next season and like you said, would be only a
great thing for Eberflus and his future.

They did have a joint practice this offseason. Apparently they both spoke highly of one another.

Lou can probably sell ATL on how he can use Bates to his advantage.

The Bengals are leeches on the NFL teet.

This is true, but Zac also said he really didn't know him. Doesn't matter either way. Interest in the DC job, and interest in the candidate is the only thing that matters.

Per Tom Pelliosario, Bengals are considering Wink Martingdale.

If the Bengals do that...they'd certainly ring in some irony points.
