Tee’s market price
Tag and trade Tee and see if we can pick up a rookie WR in the draft or bring in a Vet.

The trenches have to be the focal point.

If we do trade Tee for heavens sake do it before the draft so we aren't waiting an entire season on the return.

How many times did Dalton overthrow him or underthrow him or throw the ball out of bounds to him, all while AJ was wide open? Dalton had accuracy down the middle of the field on deep throws, but everywhere else it was shaky.

In 2024, Justin Jefferson had over 1500 yards and 10 TDs with Sam Darnold as his QB.
In 2023, DJ Moore nearly had 1400 yards with Justin Fields and Tyson Bagant as his QBs.
In 2022, Davante Adams had over 1500 yards and 14 TDs with Derek Carr and Jarrett Stidham as his QBs.

I am realistic about Dalton's ceiling as a QB, but I still will feel compelled to want to fight anyone who says they think those QBs are better than Dalton was.    Hilarious

It's more about his deep throw accuracy along the sidelines. It was terrible.

Well even if he was weak down sidelines, other QBs were also when you look at  according to PFF (which again we can debate ) from  "2006-2016 deep passer rating,  His past deep passer rating was a 95.3, which should be shocking for fans who badmouthed him that whole time. Only nine current quarterbacks had a better deep passer rating over that same span, including Roethlisberger who beat him by 0.5."

people are trashing a former player here, what else is new.

I dont care about the season that Darnold just had, Andy was better than him.

How do the Eagles pay everyone ? Would love some insight genuinely asking. Obliviously them drafting great is a huge part of the reason why there back in the Super Bowl. They’re paying Hurts, Barkley, A.J. Brown, Devonte Smith , Landon Dickerson, Goedert , Lane Johnson , Jordan Mailata, Darius Slay and C.J Gardner Johnson. Jake Elliot is tied for the 2nd highest paid kicker in the league.

Well for one thing they get extensions done early. Tee Higgins should've been extended after 2022, and Chase last year.

Agreed the price tag on players keeps going up every year so waiting is dumb if you really want the player back. Even the Bates contract probably looks good now.

The Bills let a top WR go and went AFC Championship. The Patriots let many WR's go as they went to many Super Bowls.

For those who say Chase and Higgins are unbeatable, wrong, the Bengals have been missing the play-offs.  They need money spent on Defense to get back in play-offs.

The Bengals need to sign Chase long term to go with Burrow. Problem is the Defense gives up more points than Burrow can score,  They brought in Golden, so address the Defense.

The Bengals are not winning with Chase and Higgins, so don't think like Bengals.  Think like Chiefs who let Hill go, but still keep going Super Bowl as they continue to try to give Mahomes a Defense and Blocking.   You might have a point if Chase and Higgins are winning, but they are not.  Let Higgins finally go Free Agent in March, sign Chase long term, and move on.  The Bengals need to stop beating this dead horse, for if they wanted Higgins they would have signed him long term in 2023.

The window has closed on the 2021 and 2022 Bengals.  In 2025, it is time to rebuild a solid team around Burrow to Chase. That is what the Patriots and Chiefs did to keep going Super Bowl.  Are the Bengals winning with Higgins, No.   So let Golden have the players to compete in the AFC North of tough Defenses.   Like Mahomes or Allen, Burrow will get the ball to other pass catchers without Higgins, and like Chiefs the Bengals will be a better team for making changes.  Change is a constant.

Should the Bengals pay 20 to 30 million to Higgins, No...Should the Bengals instead spend money on improving the Defense.  Yes.....Burrow can not score 50 points a game.  However when Bengals had a good Defense, Burrow got Bengals to Super Bowl and AFC Championship back to back years  Give Burrow to Chase a solid Defense again. Otherwise hiring Golden is pointless,

Comparing everything to the chiefs is not fair as we’re not the same. The chiefs have one of, if not, the best coaches of all time. They have one of, if not the best QB of all time. Their front office is much better at drafting than ours.

It’s kind of foolish to say, well the Chiefs moved on from their top wr and made multiple super bowls. And also saying, well bengals made the Super Bowl with tee, chase, and Higgins; so that’s the formula. Just because we made one superbowl, it doesn’t mean that is the recipe. The falcons made one superbowl with Matt Ryan and never made it again. The truth is we need really good players. We need quite a few more than we currently have. How do we do that? Well we need to hit on this upcoming draft and get one really good player and one pretty good. We need 2-3 pretty good free agents. If we lose one in Tee, add another number to that list.

I’m pretty torn on this. In a perfect world, I think everyone would say they would tag and trade Tee, and sign the best OL or DL player in FA. I don’t trust the bengals to do that at all. I think the more likely scenario is they would go after 2 B level players to replace that salary.

Considering our history of FA targets and drafting, I lean towards keeping Tee as he is a proven weapon. If Tee wasn’t a Bengal and hitting free agency, and we needed a WR, do you think we would land him? No? Then what makes you think we’ll land the top paid FA DL?

1. They don't pay everyone. They have let guys like Javon Hargrave and TJ Edwards walk in '23 and they're going to lose more this offseason.
2. They are drafting absolutely amazingly.
3. They are going HEAVY into void years and restructuring to push cap hits forward, ignoring tomorrow's consequences for today's benefit.

As of right now the Eagles already have $228m of cap space already allocated for 2027. Over $92m of that is from guys who will not be under contract with them. It doesn't get any better in the future as they have $189m already allocated in 2028 and $199m already allocated in 2029, again from largely players who won't be playing for them.

They are absolutely selling their future in order to try to win now, and spending tons of cash to do it, and even that's only being held up by amazing drafts. They've built themselves a pretty firm timelimit for that window to close, though. Once closed, it'll likely stay closed for 3-4+ years. Unless they magically manage to keep drafting nothing but Pro Bowlers and All-Pros for the next half decade.
