Noah Fant Signed

So do you really need the Top TE end unit in the AFCN?  I mean I wouldn't put Baltimore's WR in the top 10 nor Pittsburgh's.

The Ravens have a top 3 offense in the NFL so yes they have a lot of great players on offense. The Steelers offense not so much overall, the TE room looks great, but lots of question marks including a QB in his 40's who did not look awesome last year even with his favorite target Adams,

official...first practice is Saturday at Paycor.  Now for the really important question...what number will he wear?  He's been 87 since he came into the league but that's Hudson's number here

What, 1 pro-bowl guard in 57 years doesn't show you how much we value the position?

They had a plan and sorry it is not your plan, but I am liking the Bengals plan. Are they done? Maybe? Will they kick the tires on Hernandez if he is healthy or Risner, they have the money right now and if they need more the could push the Trey bonus into 2026 and 2027.

So I disagree they should have pushed Burrow money back before they needed to do it. The thing about pushing it back, it impacts the cap in 2026 and 2027 and possibly 2028. It is not free money. The team still has to pay out cash for bonuses and salary.

The narrative the FO some how saves money by the way they structure contracts is kind of baffling to me. They don't do it to save money, they do it because they don't like taking huge risks and ending up with dead cap money (money paid out for contracts of guys who get hurt or cut and no longer on the current year roster). Dead money is wasted cap space teams can use to upgrade. Bengals manage it very well. Other teams many want us to emulate do not.

WTF are you on about?

How is it, even remotely debatable, to say that IF we were gonna restructure Burrow's contract & save $19 mil vs the cap, it would have been a better idea to do it WHEN FREE AGENCY STARTED instead of now. That way, we could have signed better FAs, as opposed to now, when they are virtually all gone?

Are you just trolling or do you legit think $19 mil in cap space is more useful now? That question is not rhetorical. Either way, you are seriously starting to annoy me. I'm not saying we should or shouldn't have, but if we were gonna, we would have done it already. Get it?

Having a plan or if there was a legit DT they wanted are beside the point.

Ravens #1 Rush offense but our tackling and run defense got better.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Yes, I am serious because I use common sense, they did not structure and put money into deals, yet still have 20 million to use in 2025, so my take is that was their plan and they disagreed with you on overloading a ton if cash on any FA guard. You valued these big money guys more than the FO did or they would have signed one of them.. Why is that hard to understand that YOUR WAY WAS NOT THE BENGALS PLAN.

So get upset, but it is makes no sense when at this point of free agency we still have 20 million left minus Fant. I fthey would have did contracts and ppushed themm into 2026 and later, we could have 30 or 40 million right now. Once they decided the top guard was not a value or fit, then they did not need more cap space. They valued having money for a guy like Fant than they did available OG or DT's. We all think a vet OG like Hernandez would be great and they have the money to do it. It is very debatable if we need a DT this year, many like Slayton, Hill, Jenkins and Jackson.

I see him as able to do most of the things All did in his short time that got us all excited

Fant sure ain’t gonna be the edge man on a stretch run but he should be able to block enough to merit going 2 receiving TEs.

May even have some 3 TE sets that get dusted off.

Was surprised we were his first visit. Even more surprised we ended up signing him.

Wanted to address TE in the draft but we just didn’t have enough picks to hit everything.

Smart move by Fant signing with the team who helps TEs revive their careers.

Best TE group we’ve had in years imo.

#1 ranked offense here we come
