Bills at Bengals Prediction!!!
#61
Rewatching the Chiefs game for some big game hype leading into Monday night. This won't go over well but only way we win this is if we lean on Perine.... That's the run game and balance we are going to need if we want to win this game. The run game has sputtered and if it continues Monday, the streak is over.

Rewatch the Chiefs game and watch what we need out of our starting RB.

I'm seeing Bengals as 1 point favorites.   Either way, casinos are calling it even.

The game is in THE JUNGLE.

I hope some fans on here have to eat crow.  Even though Bengals went to Super Bowl, after the first week of the season many on here were ready to hand this years Super Bowl trophy to Buffalo because they beat the Rams.  A win that is looking less impressive.  I hope the Bengals just come out and do to Buffalo what they did to Tennessee and Kansas City.   Show some fans on here they switched from AFC CHAMP Bengals to Buffalo way too early 1st week of the season.

Go Bengals.  I would not trade Bengals players for Buffalo's.  I think Bengals have the better team on Offense and Defense.  It should be a great game, but Bengals will win at home.  The Jungle tilts the even up bookie points in Bengals direction, BENGALS BY 3 POINTS.

I would not trade Burrow for Allen.  I would not trade Chase, Higgins, Boyd for their set of WRs.  I would not trade our RB's for theirs. I would not switch Defenses with them, I like Bengals Super Bowl defense.   People read way too much into Bills in Week One.  Bengals will beat them in Week 17.

I doubt the Bills victory over the Rams changed fans perception of the Bills: the Bills were already looked at as the team to beat before that game. The Bills were the Vegas favorites (by a lot) going into the season. They beat KC and all their losses were very close, unlike the MNF debacle that the Bengals had at Cleveland. Currently the ESPN power ratings have Buffalo third and the Bengals 6th. The Bills defense is 2nd in the league in points per game (behind San Francisco), while Cincinnati is 9th, and the Bills offense is second in the league (behind KC) in terms of points per game while the Bengals are 7th. If this game were away, the Bills would unquestionably be favored by Vegas. Both teams are hot right now.

If the Bengals win, I don't know why people would be eating crow simply because they look at Buffalo as an impressive team and the team to beat to win the AFC. Buffalo is the number 1 seed in the AFC right now.

The people who were overtly frustrated when we were 0-2 might have succumbed to their old experience as a Bengal fan. We barely lost those games as well as a third with the Ravens. I know it’s still hard for some of you ( I’m a recent fan) but these guys are solid, focused, and confident. That doesn’t mean they can’t lose early in the playoffs due to poor play. It happens.

My official prediction: At some point in the game, probably early on the usual suspects* in the game day thread will proclaim the end is neigh.. When our local heroes win out the usual suspects will suddenly do an about face and claim they knew it all along and the only reason they ever doubted our heroes was because the other side is also pretty good.  ThumbsUp
Disclaimer..*I must admit to occasionally flirting with usual suspectdom.. I try to avoid it whenever possible.

I'm hoping to see the following scenario:

Win the coin toss, defer the ball to the second half.
Our D gets the stop without points to this days enemy.
Score 7 after a nice well balanced drive eating over 8 minutes of clock.
Repeat: limiting time of possession for the enemy.
Force field goals vs TD s while on defense.
Limit turnovers and force enemy turnovers.
Smack em in the mouth every chance we get, legally.
Hit Josh Allen hard and often by making him stay in the pocket.
Omit mental mistakes and penalties.
Repeat for all 4 quarters.
LOUD CROWD When we're on D, limited noise when we have the ball.

Bengals dominate the enemy on our turf, in our Jungle and win 34 - 12.

Spot on. Still hard for some of us to shed the mental torture we’ve incurred from so many years of let downs. We been conditioned / programmed to assume …. and in a bad way.

It’s almost hard-wired in me to expect bad things to protect my heart. Sort of serious. Haha

Unfortunately, I think the legs of Allen will do us in. Bookies win though because the Bills wont cover. Bills 24 Good Guys 23. Hopefully, I keep my streak in the predictions threads intact. Who Dey!

The Chiefs have struggled against the run some and we were opening up big holes. That's probably what we need more than anything. I heard against Tampa when we struggled to run we were going back to a lot more zone stuff. Not sure about last week. But I agree we need to have positive runs and get into 2nd or 3rd and shorts. Not sure how that will go with Collins out now.

I've watched some of Buffalo not a ton. I saw Allen has 3 int the last 6 weeks but he has 6 fumbles the last 6 weeks as well. His running scares me but hopefully we can get that ball out.

This is gonna shock you, the bengals do a pretty good job (underselling here) of containing mobile QBs.

Allen is living off a reputation of a huge arm and big frame. He’s also remembered for almost beating KC last year in the playoffs. Even though he did beat them this year. Mahomes is living off a reputation for unorthodox flips and side arms. Not saying they’ve not earned those reputations. But Joe is just steady Joe Blow.

Joe is more accurate than either one and it’s not close. If Cincy wins Monday night they are going to become the favorite to make the Super Bowl. This team has never been the favorite but will be finally by Vegas

Allen is a monster, but so is Joe Burrow. I also think we have the better team overall.

I'll say 34-27 Bengals.
