First Democratic Debate
#61
I heard Webb was the most responsible candidate on the stage. Which makes sense he is the only old school democrat running. The rest are progressives/socialists.

I look forward to watching the debate later tonight.

I got two words after watching (recorded) the 2nd debate:

Tee Hee

It's best not to post if you have nothing to actually say. That's message board 101.

You mean like what you just did?

Not at all. I had something to say and said it. Namely, that your posts should actually make a point. That was the point.

The point to the post I responded to is a mystery to all but you. Nice try at turning the tables, though. The old "yeah but you're just as bad as me!" is clearly a favorite of yours; too bad it's seldom true.

OOOhhhh.... so your post was focused on me,  who would have guessed,

But as you require "a point", as if laughing at the debate wasn't enough. Here's 2 quick gems:

Hillary said she is only getting backing from Wall Street because of the hard work she did during 911

Bernie said Terrorism is increasing because of Global warming.

Let me know if more substance is required to merit a post; cause I skipped Message board 101.

Quote:Global climate change will aggravate problems such as poverty, social tensions, environmental degradation, ineffectual leadership and weak political institutions that threaten stability in a number of countries, according to a report the Defense Department sent to Congress yesterday.

...

The report finds that climate change is a security risk, Pentagon officials said, because it degrades living conditions, human security and the ability of governments to meet the basic needs of their populations. Communities and states that already are fragile and have limited resources are significantly more vulnerable to disruption and far less likely to respond effectively and be resilient to new challenges, they added.

You would prefer, what, that Sanders was listening to private sector corporate employees as opposed to the DoD?

Or are you too busy snickering to realize there's a bigger picture?

Yeah, and this is your other "go-to": post something intentionally vague without a point, then when someone says "you didn't make a point", cry about how their post was focused on you. Of course, when you make a post that says nothing, it only makes sense people are going to ask you why you did that. But that's already been explained to you, countless times, which means you're doing it intentionally, likely for attention, which constitutes trolling.

Who would have guessed.

Ah, at last. Yes, I agree that her defense of Wall Street donations was laughable and, more importantly, false.

I wonder what Bush and Rubio's defense is. After all, they round out the top 3 of Presidential candidates who've received money from Wall Street banks. I guess we'll never know until Republicans actually care enough about corporate donations to ask about it, let alone endorse any measures to end them.

Quote:Bernie said Terrorism is increasing because of Global warming.

He was absolutely correct when he said "climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism". He further elaborated here:

Quote:"If we are going to see an increase in drought, in flood, and extreme weather disturbances as a result of climate change, what that means is that people all over the world are going to be fighting over limited natural resources," the Vermont senator said Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation," elaborating on an arugment he made during the CBS News Democratic debate Saturday night.

This is not only transparently true in principle, but it is directly true in the case of the Syrian civil war which we all know has led to the growth of ISIS. More knowledge for you:

Quote:Drawing one of the strongest links yet between global warming and human conflict, researchers said Monday that an extreme drought in Syria between 2006 and 2009 was most likely due to climate change, and that the drought was a factor in the violent uprising that began there in 2011.

I recommend reading the whole article if you feel emotionally stable enough to handle it. Suffice it to say, Sanders made a statement that has good logical and scientific argumentation to support it, whether you like the arguments or not.

Now, here's the fun part of the game where I get to predict how you respond to this post. My guess is one of the following:

1. "It's all about me still, what a surprise! Hee hee!"

2. "Science is stupid because."

3. "Liberal media."

4. Complete silence

I'm leaning towards either 2 or 4.

No, snikering does not make me overly busy. I'm laughing at an 74 year old socialist that said Terrorism is tied to global warming.

Are you telling me you believe this? All that is required is a yes or no.

Please say yes.

Never mind, Someone else already did.

I've seen terrorism and terrorist. We had little discussion about global warming.

Do I believe that famine, drought, poverty, flooding, reduction of agrarian opportunities, etc., can lead people to follow those who offer them a better life? Yes.

You? Or are you smarterer than the Pentagon?

What wasn't straight? Much like terrorism, my wife beating would decrease if global warming wasn't causing it.

Did you mean to ask a yes or no question as I did? (Wait, don't answer that; it's too complicated)

Come on .... Everything is caused by global warming. Just ask any democrat.

And I don't believe any gov report on climate change his administration has a vested interest to promote and push for climate change support . This is the administration that got us wrapped ho into giving the UN the power to take money from us for being a 1st world nation and redistribute that money to 3rd world nations.

This is also the same president who speaks I students in Africa and tells them they shouldn't and can't have air condition get and a big house. Guess that's only for Americans.
