SCS and I have a 'special' relationship that you guys just wouldn't understand. We shared stories... experiences... wives... bodily fluids... I just don't think you guys are ready for it.

I bought a new one that is much larger just for you. It is still not as big as the one I was born with, but we both know how much that hurts and stretches everyone out of shape.

And atheism, as defined by Brownshoe, is "rejection of the notion that there is a God".
How can you reject a notion no one puts forth in the first place?

This was the operational definition used in the conversation you stepped into.
So you have a different definition? Which one? The old one ("a belief that there is no God")? The newer "Let's co-op the agnostic definition to try and make them seem like atheists too" ("the absence of belief that any deities exist")? Maybe you have your own even, eh?
This is a fundamental problem with atheism: How do you define it, without referencing someone else's beliefs? And it ultimately comes down to the fact that someone else has decided to believe something and an atheist has chosen a position counter that.
As Dino noted about the terms "theist" and "atheist". These are from the Greek root term theo, which means relating to God or gods. The word 'atheo' ("godless, denying the gods") does not exist without the word 'theo'.

So a person who never heard of a god and does not believe in a god is not an atheist? His beliefs are in no way dependent on another person's beliefs because he has never even heard of anyone's belief in a god.

What would you call a person like that?
"A person who has never heard of anyone else's beliefs in a god"

If you flew to another planet and discovered that no one there believed in god would you say there were NO atheists there?
Yes.
Because you can't label someone as a nonbeliever (atheist) if they didn't even know there was an option to believe.
Your anger and ego will always reveal your true self.
