Iv never seen a DE fall off at 23 years old as badly as Ossai |

I think it’s insane how worthless Ossai has been this season
1 sack
7 tackles
Played in only 12 games
Doesn’t even play a lot anymore because Murphy took his spot
This is a legendary fall off for a kid this young
That Chiefs game really killed him
Lou isgetti heat now but i must admit it’s hard when the players you penciled in for a certain level of production don’t produce at anywhere near the expected production

Let’s Get Physical |

“Let’s Get Physical!” sang the late great Olivia Newton-John decades ago.
While Olivia’s dulcet voice described the “horizontal mambo” my 2024 edition of “Let’s Get Physical!” involves the Cincinnati Bengals. How? The Bengals need to get physical — because they aren’t. Last night was proof: The Steelers bullied the Bengals badly. It was sandlot football for 60 minutes.
The AFC North requires physical play. Baltimore and Pittsburgh always play hard and tough and Cleveland learned to play this way as well. Unfortunately the Bengals have not. The offensive linemen get pushed back. The defensive line gets stood up. Cornerbacks and safeties get stiff armed into the earth’s crust.
Offensive play calling and defensive schemes don’t matter if the team is getting pushed around physically.
The Bengals must adapt or face competitive extinction.

So how do we fix the defense for next season? |

So how do hypothesis Duke, Lou, and Zac will fix this defense? Or perhaps you think we should fire Lou?
Starting 3T , starting NT , and Nickle LB have to be addressed in free agency or via trade. Additionally I think we should look to add a true FS and move Dax to Nickleback/Joker. At least on 3rd downs!

Three Guys Walk Into a Dark Room ... |

Sounds like the opening line to a joke that is awaiting a punchline, doesn't it? Some man by the name of "Chick" was on WLW late last night talking Bengals football. Btw, I don't know who in the hell Chick is. I live in southern KY and don't listen to guys like Chick much. But Chick posed this somewhat odd question to his listeners:
Chick asked, "If Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh, and Zac Taylor were all three in a pitch dark room, who would walk out first, who would be second, and who would be the last out ?" Now, I'm not even sure what Chick meant by his question but I took it as which coach is the best. In other words, which coach is the smartest to find his way out of the room. I guess the question could also be interpreted as , if three men were in a dark room, who would get scared the easiest and want to leave the room first. That's not the way I interpreted it, though. I think he meant, who is the best coach, who is second best, and who is worst. Maybe I'm wrong, though. How do you interpret Chick's question and who do you think is first, second, and last to emerge from the room?
Btw, Chick's answer was: Mike Tomlin emerges first, then Harbaugh, then Taylor. I think I agree with Chick.

This season has absolutely sucked for so many reasons.
The Burrow calf injury. Sucking to start the year. Then Joe getting and healthy and the Bengals being good. Then Burrow getting injured and out for the year. Then sucking again. Then being good again with Browning. And then finally sucking again and riding the Jake Browning roller coaster a long the way.
Not to mention three of our best players getting severely injured a long the way.
I'm just tired. This has been an awful, awful season and I'm just ready for it to be over. I can't even say it's been fun.
This was supposed to be a Super Bowl year and it's been one of my least favorite seasons in recent memory.
I'm tired of being tormented. Just put me down.

Bengals maybe better luck against Browns in Cincy |

I had to turn Bengals at Steelers game off near halftime. They had no chance of winning. Dog had to have night time walk. Day before Christmas Eve, too many other things to do. No time to watch Steelers celebrate all 2nd half. The Chiefs game, I will be surprised if I'm not turning that one off early also, again with better things to do than watch Chiefs celebrate all 2nd half.
Now the Browns in Cincinnati THE JUNGLE after Holidays, could be a Bengals win. I don't care no play-offs, Beat Browns anyway.
I don't feel that bad after loss to Steelers. Probably because when Burrow was lost for rest of season, many said Bengals would not win another game. Bengals did indeed win 3 more games and stayed in play-off hunt up until Dec 23rd. Also Bengals went to Super Bowl and then AFC Championship 2 straight years, so we have had our day in the Sun and better luck next year.
No Burrow, No Chase, No Win. Browning has been playing good enough, but Steelers threw a zone defense that our pretty much rookie quarterback was confused by. Browning made some stupid mistakes and played like a rookie in his first games. Throwing the ball into a crowd of Steelers early in the game instead of taking the field goal next play is a stupid rookie mistake. So was standing at the line and not running a quick play before Steelers threw red flag on a questionable catch. Still, Bengals won 3 games with him, so he did better than expected.
Much to do, too little time to watch Steelers and maybe Chiefs celebrate all game. After the Holidays is this Browns at Cincinnati THE JUNGLE. Bengals could win and avoid the AFC NORTH SWEEP. 9 wins wouldn't be bad, all things considered. I know some say injuries are no excuse, but the fact is The Bengals had way too many key injuries in 2023. They were kind of healthy when they beat the 49ers and the Bills. It shows when their Super Bowl players were on the field, they were good, but their Super Bowl players were injured way too many games in 2023 from start to finish. So I really don't feel that bad, better luck next season and maybe we will see more of the players that beat 49ers and Bills in 2024.
As for Steelers, they better enjoy it now, because they aren't going to play-offs either. At 8-7, they would have to win out against a tough schedule and hope other teams lose and it ain't happening. Yesterday is as good as it gets for Steelers, no play-offs for them either. There is one team in AFC North that could make Super Bowl, and that is Baltimore. Steelers big day was yesterday, but it will be short lived. The Browns could be a play-off team, but forget about Super Bowl. Ravens with their Defense and their QB that there is no Defense for, are for real this year.
GO BENGALS
