Which, if true, is a beyond ridiculous way to run a football team. 'Hey guys, one facet of our team is kicking ass, you guys on the offence better slow it down!'.
I don't expect our offence to school every defence, every week. But how you go from the Bengals offence weeks 2-5, to what we've watched these past 3 weeks... I don't know what to say.
And about Tee being out... injuries are incredibly prevalent in this sport. Any player can be out for the game/season, on any play... it's not even the first time this season we've had to play without him. I don't expect an entire new gameplan the second he goes out, but we've got to be adaptable to injury.

Today, the Kicker playing like trash. Offense playing like garbage. Defense like flaming garbage.

It’s hard to adapt when the gameplan expects tee and chase to be healthy because they both were throughout the week. So when he gets hurt on Friday, it becomes near impossible to adapt.
I say near impossible because this team cannot run the ball for the life of them. And as we all know, the pass catchers behind chase and tee are practice squad tier players

I think many of the teams in the NFL have figured out the Bengals "gameplay" with Chase and Higgins..It really is not enough anymore..Our current running game reminds me of what we see @ highschool Friday night football with bad teams

I think when chase and tee play, the offense is generally great. From a passing perspective. I dont think theyre figured out at all
I think they ARE too reliant on chase and tee. But thats just because the rest of the playmakers around them are trash.
The burrow/chase/tee trio isnt figured out. But if one of them goes down, the offense takes a big step back

And read the rest of my other post. The game plan all week had Tee in it. An injury to a guy like that so late in the week absolutely throws everything off
That doesn't seem to hinder the good teams.

Let us know how to be thankful for this lack of dynamic scheming.

any top heavy offense(like the bengals) will faulter when one of their stars are out. Look at how bad the buccaneers are failing when either Evans or Godwin are out. Changes the whole operation.
the bengals have no offensive depth. Back then if Chase or tee got injured, Boyd would fill the second spot. They dont even have anyone who is a worthy 3rd receiver on this team
Which wouldnt be as big of an issure if this team could run the ball. They cannot.
Its not a good roster.

I definitely agree that the calibre of 'what's after' Chase and Tee is a huge drop off.. I'm not expecting miracles! Just adaptation, even if it's a case of having a small number of simple plays in the bank should we not have guys available. I can't get on board with the idea that Tee being out on Friday, meant we had zero time to adapt and had to be shoehorned into the same gameplan regardless. That's just not good preparation in my opinion.
Slight tangent here, but unfortunately we do seem to look pretty limited offensively when Tee hasn't been good to go. Doesn't say good things down the road, unless we really are going to pay him too. Obviously simple maths suggests 'good player out = less good offence', but it does seem a bit of a drop off without having looked into it statistically.

If the #2 WR is down, we fail. Take notes NFL. We have no scheme, no adjustments that can be made. No other team can do it either, right. An injury in game, might as well take a knee. Gameplan out the window. Geniuses cannot deal with change of plans.

you 100% wouldve seen a better offensive performance if Tee was ruled out on monday tuesday or wednesday
and like I said, when you cant run the ball, youre gonna have a bad time with just Chase and practice squad tier receivers

In Bill's defense he lost his QB and he was the HC of a franchise that had two top 10 draft picks in the span of nearly 30 years. When you make the playoffs 17 times in 19 years and make 10 SBs and win 7 of them you aren't getting the chance to draft no brainers like Burrow and Chase with your 2 to 4 win season picks.

By that logic, they would have the same outcome if Tee was injured on the first play of the game. (We still score on that drive )
If you can't change plans, especially if it is just 3your #2 receiver, you have a bad team/game planner.

We had Tee the previous 2 weeks and scored 17 and 14 points on offense.... so today's 17 is perfectly in line with recent results WITH Tee.
The only difference is this week we didn't get to play Daniel Jones or Deshaun Watson, we had to play a real offense so our defense got gashed.

Can we get Ben Johnson as our HC? I can't stomach Taylor anymore.

If you’re running game is trash(poor personnel and pollack) and your receivers are garbage outside of 2 guys, the plan should be to spam the 2 good guys. That’s what they do because it’s smart to get your good players involved. They also do it because everyone else this front office has drafted has been garbage. Charlie Jones isn’t good, yoshi can’t get seperation, Burton has obvious brain problems, gesicki is mediocre. What players do they need to get involved?

I thought the adjustment of playing Geisecke as a Big Slot was paying dividends early. It's just we have nothing after that, and the D got wise to it. We tried to involve other WRs but they are garbage.

Lmao, the players have done a remarkable job. They made it to the Super Bowl and AFCG despite him.
