The NFL is absolutely scripted

The Rams Safety Weddle, basically says,, you know, during the week, I was telling the people in my circle (friends, family ,I guess) watch, Aaron Donald will finish the game for  us. ( He said something to that effect)

Then they interview coach McVay. He said  last play they were in shot gun. You can hear me on mic, I said watch, Donald probably gets a sack here.

They are telling you it's staged, without telling you.

Watch Bengals #67 on that play, is he even making can effort to stop Donald, get in his way?

Yeah, the covid thing starts and less traveling happens. How convenient to have 2 home super bowls in a row.
And,oh, masks were required yet not a single celebrity is wearing any.

TLDR: "Arguably the best DT to ever play football had the confidence of his teammates and coaches he would make plays against a terrible OL. Rigged!"

Also the NFL needs full time refs that can be held accountable for bad calls. Fined, suspended whatever it takes to get these guys to think before they throw a flag on a ticky tack play. I will go to my grave that the Wilson play was a Great play and worthy of the play of the SB. Shame that red took that away from him, away from this city. Hope to never see that mf ref a Bengal game again. Sorry I’m a little biter still.

Scripted, no.

Pressured, sure.

I mean, look at all the pregame. It was Donald v. Burrow. Were they going to call either one for a penalty? No. Donald was super blah first half. He was just playing and he didn't look great. Second half? He lines up offsides, he holds, he gets feet beat by JB and shoves him out of bounds in frustration, he looks... like a big goob. If the refs call him on his shit in the second half? Then all the hype has been wasted. Because Donald was nowhere near worth what the NFL was selling.

And, no, I'm not saying Donald was a bad player. Or that the refs cooked it in his favor.

But did the refs give him free reign in the second half because he was the suck otherwise? Yeah. Yeah, they did. As crappy as our line is, we double teamed and schemed and made him look pretty below average in comparison to the hype.

Lets just say it is scripted by NFL for the sake of argument for a moment.

First would think it would be the billion dollar gambling industry doing so instead of NFL, they have the most to lose.

Anyway, the SB went exactly how the NFL would prefer with the big market team with all the star power names winning and Vegas winning too since the Bengals covered and the money was heavily bet on the Rams.

Win/Win for both. Some casinos are even saying it is their biggest win ever on SB's. So it did come out exactly how they both wished.

Now the bigger question if scripted would be why the NFL would want the Bengals to have such a great run in playoffs. Many things had to go right for this to happen and believe Bengals received a bunch of flags like the Rams did to even beat the Chiefs and get into playoffs.

So if I was playing the scripted game, would conclude that the NFL wants the Bengals to look attractive to London or somewhere else shopping for an NFL team.

But I don't really buy into the scripted thing though, but never rule anything completely out.

Yet just think the Bengals lost the game and in one that they had many of opportunities to win as well.

Its just sports and it happens.

I’m almost to the point believing the NFL really needed the Rams to win to put fans in the seats. I’m not there just yet, don’t want to be there. I love football more than i should but damn the end was sketchy as Fu@k.

All you did was repeat silly media hype. He's the best ever man.. so what?
What's that got to do with the Bengals jock letting him pass.

You avoid everything else I said.

Yes it was.   Bad, bad taste left in my mouth. Scripted from beginning to end... no.  But do I trust Goodell and his bag of misfit toys... HELL NO!!!

The conspiracy theorist in me is having a difficult time with this. On one hand I wanted to believe the NFL hyping Joe Burrow and the litany of calls we had go our way during what many call an improbable Super Bowl run because this league has always been a superstar league right. I mean that’s what sells tickets and merch.

Trust me it was great to see things go our way throughout the playoffs and for the most part seeing our team in the limelight. I too went from it will never be us, to why not us, to it is us, and now back to it will never be us. I think in the playoffs we posed the least risk in the eyes of the NFL to beat the Rams with the least amount of outside interference from officiating. We were never going to win that game. Just was not going to happen. The only time it was ever really in doubt they stepped in and it was ugly. But, had Joe miraculously escaped Donald and threw a TD pass, you can bet your ass they would have called OPI on Chase or a offensive hold or both. That ref watching Chase on the sideline had his hand on his flag. He sure as **** didn’t have it there to benefit us otherwise he’d have thrown it.

People who think the NFL is scripted are hilarious

Yes, they told Cooper Kupp to catch 18 out of 18 Targets in the 4th quarter of the playoffs for 195 yards.

And they told Stafford not to miss him, please. And they complied and did what the NFL said.

That's a pretty bold claim... I hope you have proof.

So if and when the Bengals win a Super Bowl I expect to see a lot of people here talking about how the result was scripted and NFL rigged it for them. Tongue

What????

Never...in that case the Bengals players will have overcome the refs trying to sabotage them and the NFL stacking the deck against them and all the calls that went in the Bengals favor were 100% correct calls and the missed calls wouldn't have impacted the game or that play or well...you know how this goes.
